nhl all star game on wed night

anyone else watch the nhl?...or am i really like a dinosaur on this place showing my age?...lol...i have loved the nhl for years...i got signed pucks from tony espisito and stan makita...and the kicker is my dads sister (my aunt duh)...almost married bobby orr years ago when he 1st came on as a blackhawk...

i have ye tto go to a game these last few years as the wertz have been penny pinching as usual and the hawks i feel are back to how they were after getting rid of belfour, chelios and roenick and of course my favorite....PROBERT!!!!...

nothing like old school hockey with big time fights...but with all the rule changes now, and trying to make the game play quicker...i felt it has changed alot in the last 7 years...it does seem to be a quicker game overall...but the diehards like myself still say that its not the same without some rough housing or fighting going on...lol...

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

I used to watch...overexpansion of the league, the recent strike and Dallas and Tampa Bay having teams while Minnesota did not chased me away.

I try to watch now and again, but it's just not the same, for me at least.

If you want to watch some really good hockey, go to Jonnies Ice House rite down the street from the united center. I've play a few mens leagues games at that joint, there are some good players and very good competition. Alot of guys played college, some pro and semi pro hockey. The sport is alive and well in Chicago. Don't let da hawks fool you. Check out the Chicago Freez too. I think the oldest those kids can be is 21. And let me tell you what man they play ruff. Good hard playing hockey, very physical, and always a guaranteed fight.

I wish I got Versus in my apartment so I could watch the game, or so I could've watched the young stars and the skills tonight. I've been skating since I was 2, there's no better sound on earth than the first stride on a fresh sheet of ice.

For those of you that haven't actually gone to a Blackhawks game recently, they now have hottie figure skating chicks that go out during the breaks and clear the shavings off the ice. They're called the BH Ice Crew ( http://www.chicagoblackhawks.com/icecrew/IceCrew.html ) and you can meet them for Road Watch (i.e. watch the road games) events around the area...

"Meet the Blackhawks Ice Crew and have a chance to win t-shirts, game tickets and other prizes courtesy of Bud Light.

Feb. 6 - at Flames, 8 pm - Buffalo Wild Wings in Plainfield
Feb. 7 - at Canucks, 9 pm - BWW in Warrenville
Feb. 14 - at Penguins, 6:30 pm - BWW in Vernon Hills"
