With 10 games left and the Cubs controlling their own destiny
Will the make it in and if so, how far will they go?

Hmmm seems I moved them to the American League-DOH

I think it's going to be very hard for them to lose in the ALCS. Actually I would say it's impossible.

We should have no problem getting to the world series.. assuming we make the playoffs Winning the world series on the other hand might be a tough one. No NL team scares me at this point.

you guys should be happy your not in the AL at all. Youd be 10 games outta any first place and 8 games out of the wildcard spot. So feel lucky you get to play in a weak league

Awww maynard why you edit your comment out but heres my reply to it

LMFAO the only ones looking silly are the ones who have been to the WS 8 times and have a Wonderful 2 wins and 8 loses thats a nice record

Sox 3 wins 2 loses seems to be a better winning ratio there

Good luck tho Cubbies

Back on topic. They do have to do something about Zambrano. If it comes down to a must-win game, do you want Zambrano to start? What if it's his turn up in the rotation? Do you put him in there or put someone else in there? They almost have to put Zambrano in no matter what with that huge contract he just signed. And If Lou doesn't play him, it might mess with his head and make him totally worthless for the rest of the year

The Comcast poll last night said something like 62% would like to see Lilly start a must win game. I think Zambrano got 26%.
In all fairness, I think Zambrano is more poorly affected pitching on short rest. However, Lilly did a whale of a job last night especially in the last inning he pitched striking out 3 guys with the game on the line. That was awesome. The only thing that worries me about the Cubs is that they have left too many guys on base in the last few weeks. And last night they hit into 3 game ending double plays.
Go Cubbies!

IF the Mets even make it. They're only 1.5 games ahead of Philly. Of course you have to take it into account that Philly is known for constantly missing the playoffs by one game
