I'm a cubs fan and always support any chicago teams, even when the sux won the world series I supported them just cuz they're from chi-town. The good part is they are at least playing in the playoffs and sweept the sux @ the cell.

Last night
1-3 Lost

Getting swept in the first round is hardly considered being in the playoffs. It's like saying you slept with a super model, just to blow your load 2 seconds in. Sure you did it, but it's embarassing and everyone is going to think you're a joke.

Seriously, why are all white Sox fans assholes? Reread your posts, you're all acting like full on assholes. This is why Cubs fans dislike you, I dont really care about the Sox either way since they're in the American league but I hate their asshole fans.

Surely some cub fans are as bad as sox fans but assuming they all are is ignorant, all the sox fans came in here guns blazing and insults flying. Classy.

Probably because when the sox went to the playoffs in 05 we got the same thing from every cubs fan about how we're gonna lose, and get swept by boston and we didn't have a chance. And YES i heard it at every series we went to. So cubs fans are the same exact way

Go find CLSB posts from any of the cub fans in this thread that did anything like that. As for my response at the beginning of the thread it was a reactionary repsonse to a douchebag thread and I stand by it. I didnt bash, I didn't boast or act like a jerk. I just implied the irony of bashing a team that is in the post season when the original poster's team is not. The sox fans on this forum are the very definition of stereotypical sox fans, and seemingly they're proud of it.

I'd never ban someone because they were sports jerks. Feel free to post away.

Jim you know I don't lump you in with the rest, however read through the posts in this thread and tell me this isn't a negative display for sox fans.

Sweet, in that case, you and you're fucking team can both...

In all honesty, I don't hate the Cubs, I just consider them equal to any other team in the league. I'm just really bored at work right now and waiting for my coffee to kick in.

I'm saving up all my sox hate till they go to the world series together, until that happens I could care less how they do. Though I am happy when they do well just because it's good for the city.

It's only one game you jealous Sox fans. The Cubs played well last night and hit the ball hard. Unfortunately they hit it right at people.

Go Cubs Go!!

Like Vcook said, what's with all the hating, it's a Chicago team. Here is a search from when the Sox were in the playoffs in 05. There are only a few negative comments from Cub fans. In 3 days here, there is more Cub bashing than support. That's just wrong. https://www.chicagolandsportbikes.com...6&pp=25&page=2

I wasnt talking about on here, (i wasnt even signed up in 05) I mean in general when the sox went since most of my friends are cubs fans. Everytime they fell behind i got a text from at least one of them. So rightfully so the tables have turned.

The only time a cubs fan gave credit where credit was due is when we finally won it. Aside from that they bashed us to high hell and still do. Cubs fans give excuses as if it was a fluke we won, or its because oh something in a game or some excuse as if we never had the actual talent to do it. Or how its the lowest rated world series or we give away tickets or whatever excuse you guys can think of. Plus the white sox didnt celebrate just making the playoffs like the cubs do. They had a full rally for a postseason? Come on. Save the celebration for the WS if they actually won it.

If the cubs lose in the first round it just proves the fact that the cubs are the worst team to make the playoffs and it shows. If they are the allstar team they claim to be and "this is the year" then they should be able to make it all the way through. Anything less counts for nothing.

The whole sox/cubs thing is funny. Good post Steve.

If you have a favorite team (no matter which team) and it's not the cubs and you are a true baseball fan... Why root for the Cubs to win?

I know people that live in our City that are Brave fans... they wouldn't root for the Cubs ever. It doesn't matter where you live.

As I said in a post a long time ago to someone "If you can't take some ribbing" then you should post anything if it gets that personal. It's a freaking game. Sports fans like to poke fun no matter what. Bear fans rip on Packer fans... & vise versa.. the list goes on and on with sports teams, especially rival teams. If it's too hot in the kitchen for ya get out !!
