Cubs Spring Training?

Looks like my brother and I are going to try to get down to Mesa in the middle of march to catch a couple Cubs spring training games. Anyone been? Any suggestions for local motels?

We're going to buy lawn seats ($6) since were non reving (flying standby)...and in case we don't get on a flight...nothing lost except 12 bucks. Going to try to make the Sox/Cubs game.

Please stop considering him a Sox fan and I will not lump all Wrigley Field asshats in with Cubs fans.

Deal?

I will call it like I see the Cubs should win 90+ this year and at least make it to the NLCS. I would have favored them till the Mets got Santana.

The Sox will hover around 500 all year and maybe make the wild card if Cleavland or Detroit implode.

I'm going town there March 17-23. I'm going to try to get to a game while there. They play the sox on the 22, but tickets are sold out

I'm staying with my brother, but are you looking for a really nice hotel or just something cheap? If you want an ok hotel cheap, go for the Radisson hotel on airport road. Tell them you are there for meetings with "avnet". they have never checked my ID.

I'm aiming for the 13 - 15th, was looking at the sox game, but if they're already sold out, I'll stick to my original plan. The dates are really going to depend on when my brother is off of work.

Ya, clean and inexpensive is fine. I just need it for 2 nights. I save the fancy resorts for my 'real' vacations. Thanks for the tip on the Radisson!

FYI, Cubs Bullpen and Dugout seats went on sale this morning, I just placed my order for a Cubs vs Pirates game. Dugout seats row A! Sweet!

go to cubs.com

Cubs vs sox game not available. You do go into the virtual waiting room, but I wasn't waiting long, like 5 minutes.
