Bears Draft thread

1st Round

Chris Williams OT 6'6" 315 Vanderbilt
Pick Analysis:Well suited to play left tackle, Williams should provide an upgrade to a unit that struggled in 2007. He allowed just two quarterback sacks over a span of 1,558 offensive snaps at Vanderbilt. He has good feet and balance for pass protection.

2nd Round

Matt Forte RB 6'2" 222 Tulane
A creative open-field runner, Forte' has drawn comparisons to Arizona Cardinals standout Edgerrin James, as he shows the same balance, body control and burst to gain valid yardage after the initial hit.

I do not know much about either buy but the Bears can certainly use help at both positions. They are also very slim now at receiver.

Bears just took Craig Steltz, S from LSU.

^^THAT'S a solid pick. Dude's gonna be a stud me they've just got to draft a QB from SOMEWHERE...please don't let it be Colt Brennan, please.

Erik Ainge is my sleeper QB pick for this draft. He's a four year starter at Tennessee, a real pro type personality and playing style that he honed in the SEC.

This OL is supposed to be good, and that's what they needed. They need to build the O line so that they can run & protect Grossman. The RB I have never heard of.

Mendenhall to the Steelers with Willie Parker there. Hmmmmm.

I like the OT as the first pick, and I would have loved this draft if they would have moved up from the second round to pick up Mendenhall when he started to drop.
I also like the Saftey from LSU but disappointed they didn't pick up a QB somewhere in the 4th or 5th rounds. I think 3, maybe 4 players from this draft will stick with the team for more than 2 years.

Da Bears!

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Bears = Crap team with the picks the took. Half of them have criminal records. Then again thats the bears way

Maybe next year

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .
