Pens vs. Wings

Alright it's Penguins vs. Red Wings for the Cup. Should be a good series.

Who thinks what??

I'm thinking Pens in 6 games.

I hate the Wings.

I think that is the 2nd time you got me to watch that video.

Believe it or not, there are actually some people in this world that watch/play hockey.

I like hockey it is just that it is hard to follow in the Spring when the Hawks once again have nothing to do with it.

The Hawks made great strides this year, they were plagued by injuries and still were in the playoff hunt until the last week. (I know, in the last week they would've needed a Blues win over the Preds, then they beat the Preds and something else and they were in, but that was a pipe dream) The young guys were scoring, the young Dmen are playing very well (Keith was an All-Star). If they're not in the playoffs next year I will be shocked.

Now, Pens in 6 sounds right. And those should be 6 of the greatest games in recent memory.

I love Hockey...It's as exciting to watch as a good old handlebar bangin' get down and dirty short track race! But it's very hard to get excited when you don't have a dog in the fight! That's why the AHL playoffs are what I've been watching...GO WOLVES!!!

Wings in 7...I just can't root for the Pens in any way, shape or form after '92!

Pens in 5. Yep. Five.

That was quite the fun little blow-out on Sunday.

Unfortunately, I was not able to get tix to the game, but watched it in a bar with half of my family. Rubbing elbows with all the rabid Penguins fans that day was pretty cool too. Ahh, my people have heart. Before and after the game, the streets were *mobbed* with folks in black and gold. Everywhere you went, in every neighborhood, 9 out of 10 people had some sort of Pittsburgh jersey or t-shirt on.

I even saw two dogs with Penguins shirts on. No kidding.

I will give that a great big "me too."

Here is the picture of the dog wearing the Penguins shirt. Pardon the crappy quality of the shot and flash bouncing off the glass, but I saw them at the last second as they were walking down the street.

Well I have to say that it will be Pens in 4.

The rules of the game were changed a couple years back to play to the strengths of players like Crosby, Malkin, and other fast young forwards. This is sad actually because somehow the NHL and the players union have ruined a great sport because of greed.

alright. the penguins are still alive. good game tonight!

i was doing laundry down the street and made the attendant switch the tv from the cubs game to the hockey game. by the end, there were a few others gathered around, too. i actually wound up staying 20 minutes after my clothes were done so i could see the end.

i don't think i've ever willingly hung out in a laundromat before.

GO PENS!!!

that was one of the best playoff games in recent memory. Was only missing some overtime. Datsyuk and Zetterberg getting physical; Malkin and Hossa having a much larger impact; Crosby stepping up; Penguins finally using their speed and getting through the neutral zone; some good scrums after whistles; Malone not take 4 penalties for stupid shit; that was fantastic to watch.

That 3rd period was great. Penguins were hitting like champs about halfway, the crowd was going nuts.

finally got some overtime! Penguins goal to tie it with under a minute left in the third. Overtime Stanley Cup finals hockey with the cup on the line; it simply doesn't get better than this!
