van halen ...cubs fan?

wow what a sad kiss ass to try and bandwagon jump on the cubs. Thats just pathetic. Have you heard that stupid song?

Is there a story behind him actually being a cubs fan?

Van Halen has been pathetic for 20 years.

Objectively speaking, the Eddie Vedder song is horribly wretched. Subjectively speaking, much like Eddie Vedder for the past 10 years.

Not all people in/from Evanston are Cubs fans.
Not all 7th inning stretch singers are Cubs fans. (witness Jeff Gordon, Ozzy, et al)

Put them together and you have a true Cubs fan.

Why are you opening a bar in Wrigleyville if you're not a Cubs fan?

What's pathetic about the Cubs playoffs is having to endure Jim Belushi yet again. How did he get to be Chicago's mouthpiece? Every Sunday/Monday Night Football game played in Chicago, every Cubs playoff run (there have been so many), etc. Dude, you're famous for being the brother of the guy in Animal House. You aren't the least bit relevant or funny. Go away.

Just to clarify... is the comment above a subjective or objective?

I sat next to Eddie Vedder a few years ago at Wrigley, he kept perhaps the most immaculate scorecard I've ever seen.

He's a huge Cubs fan!

Not a smart way to open a business in "Cubs country" and flaunt your love for the Sox. Might as well wear a Sox shirt and hang a Sox flag outside of the bar.... just saying

I thought that was a well-known fact not needing clarification.

Objectively, the Vedder song sucks. I say that because I'm not a Cubs fan and don't want that fact implied when I say the song sucks balls.

Actually, in economics, its called 'supply and demand'. If he's the only sox bar on the north side, near wrigley, then he's bound to pull in those fans who happen to live near there, or are in the area, and wish to cheer on their sox. I think its a clever idea.

then again, with all the tranny photos on here of silent, maybe boystown would be a better location? (just kidding!)
