cross-town? yes
it would depend on who was beating the sux. There are a few teams I enjoy watching. But just to see the sux? nope

Is it wrong to support both teams?

I just moved here, like a half decade ago, and still can't decide. Maybe it's because I can't stand watching it on tv, but will attend when tickets are given to me.

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

Kayde got sox tickets for us for my birthday last summer from someone she used to work with. We went, but wouldn't go out of our way to go again. There's just no atmosphere compared to the north side.

I think it is a little to early to trash talk right now, Cubs are starting the season nicly right now, Zambrano looks a little too cocky right now for my liking just knowing his past track record

Absolutely...and I do all the time. The Cell is 100x easier to get to and I always have a great time. I love Wrigley, but what a PITA. We've got a friend with season tix at U.S. Cellular...best damn seats in the house!

Ha...real tough being a Yankees fan. G'luck with the "buy-a-dynasty". I think that's been shown over and over (mostly by the Yankees themselves) to rarely work.

A-rod. Somehow I doubt he'll be quite the same player without the 'roids

Mandy is friends with Paula Pasqua. Her husband is Dan Pasqua, retired White Sox player. I met him last night and he shook my hand. I wiped my hand off after. He looked at me, and I simply stated "Cubs fan". He chuckled. All seriousness, he is a really nice guy.

I know I opened myself up for this.....BUT, don't confuse A-rod with any of the other "abusers". Look at his physical shape from the beginning, it didn't change...And yes, I agree we spent, spend, will spend, etc.... too much money, but that is NY. Excess at its finest. And don't doubt the "buy-a-dynasty" it worked for us, for the Marlins, I could go on and on. Its just lately it seems teams are really grooming their farming systems and producing some real talent. I miss the days of the Expo's producing the greatest player's in ball and then lose them to free agency!! And A-ROD WILL STILL BE THE MAN. STEROIDS DON'T MAKE YOU BETTER, THEY MAKE YOU STRONGER. Believe me, you still need the hand to eye, and bat speed to play real ball, believe me I know, or else I'd take steroids and actually go farther than college.....

See for me that argument doesn't hold water. Everyone in the bigs already has hand-eye coordination and the ability to play. Of course they make you stronger.....and quicker and give you more endurance. Take it from someone from the inside (sounds like you may have been in the game too?). Steroids are huge because they work.

And the "buy-a-dynasty" has never really worked. In the glory days of the 90's most of the team was home grown...and the Marlins never bought a thing, they sold off after they won!!

See that is where we differ. There is a lot of room for interpretation in "Everyone in the bigs has hand-eye coordination and the ability to play". If that was the case, there would be MANY .400 avg's, if not .500 or .600 Hand-eye is subjective. Yes I did play, and was decent. But my 87 mph fastball got ROCKED once I got to an appropriate level. What I'm trying to say is no matter if Barry Bonds, or A-Rod was on 1000's of cc's of juice, they still wouldn't have BLASTED ANY homer's off of flame throwing high 90's pitchers.

If you already have a great ability Steroids just add to it. They do improve your fast twitch muscles.

Estimates put the increased strength at 5-10%...that's 20-40' in the outfield. Easily the difference between a lazy fly and a home run. I think last year's statistics in baseball speak for themselves. 6 years ago there were over 40 players in baseball with 30+ homeruns. Last year I believe there were 5 total.

All I'm saying is that if you put a baseball on a tee and have a machine hit it with "x" power the ball will go so far....bump that power up to x+y, y being the increase from steroids the ball goes that much farther, period. Look, if they didn't work no one would use them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I suppose.

OF COURSE THEY DO!!

That's why people use them!

I'm not debating this ass-old topic anymore. For me it's very simple. Risk/Reward. Big time players chose to use big time drugs with big time consequences for one very simple reason.

Cerk,

I absolutely agree.....BUT, why do we only hear about the great players?? How many shitty players are using and not getting any better? Hence, I would be playing real ball and buying you all lap dances if steroids was the miracle sports drug
