I got the [email protected] 22A with the 5 inch barrel. Its a 10 round mag and shoots 22lr. I have a question regarding a problem im having with this gun. When I stick a full mag in the gun, I only get 1 shot off before I have to pull the slide back. Problem is that the 9th bullet is staying in place in the mag and isnt getting pushed up to be loaded after the first shot. Sometimes I have to pop the mag out and you can then hear the spring push the bullet to the top of the mag. At the range yesterday I did some testing and if I only put 9 bullets in the mag, I can rapid fire this thing all day long without a single jam or anything. Most of the time with 10 loaded I have to sometimes pop the mag out after the first shot and then it shoots just fine. What can cause this and how can I go about getting it fixed? I have tried different brand rounds and they all do it. Best round tho is federal hp. I havent jammed yet with them.

To be honest, it's the nature of the beast for that .22lr round, they don't work all that well in autofeeders (what do you expect for $15/box of 550?). You might be able to do something about it, but IMO your best bet is to shoot whatever ammo works best and/or just use 9 rounds per mag.

The good news is your are not dicribing a gun problem, it's a mag problem.

When you say 9th round are counting from teh top or bottom. I nother words, what round is getting stuck... the one closest to the feed leips or the ones closest to the follower?

On the top of the mag, the 2nd bullet down gets stuck and half the time pulling the slide is enough to get it in the chamber and other times I have to just do a quick release and seat and it works fine then. Same thing on both mags I got. If I load 9 out of 10 theres no issues.

Generaly speaking bulk ammo is inconsistant in length. Combine that with the fact that you always don't drop rounds in on an angle to feed the mag. Sometimes a round goes in parrallel instead of on an angle and when yo push down on subsequent rounds when loading you actualy squeeze the bullet into place causing the jam. 1st round goes off and the rest don't get pushed up.

What I would do is when you are done loading, pull down the follower tab as far is it will go and then let it fly home. The spring tension will generaly force any lodge bullets free. If I was a betting man you pussy foot the mag loading process. It's a gun, not a vagina. Manhandle it. Unless your vagina like being manhandle too. if that's the case your the man!

When I put the mag in, I get it half way in and then slam my hand on the bottom to lock it in place. Exactly what you said in your second sentance. First round goes off fine, the rest dont get pushed up. Once I do get it pushed up it doesnt happen again, only after the first shot.

Smacking it in isnt what I'm talking about. On the side of your magazine there should be a little protrusion you can actualy put youur thum on and keep the mag follower down. Like a manual button.

You should have a nub like this on your mag.

If aftre you load the mag cycle it up and down. The rounds shouls all be pushed up and come down as you cycle it. If they don't you can see prior to loading. Pulling this all the way down and letting it fly up will generaly unseat any lodge bullets.
