Some new Stuff

I sold the shotgun and a couple of things to fund these new pieces.

Slightly used Ruger 10/22 with the following upgrades:

Ruger laminated wood Target stock
Volquartsen target hammer
Tuffer Buffer (bolt buffer)
Volquartsen extended magazine release
Volquartsen extended automatic bolt release
Volquartsen bedding kit
Green Mountain 18” SS fluted bull barrel

Like New SA XDm9 Bitone. It's stock.

And my favorite, a new 2010 Dan Wesson Valor 1911 45 ACP with Heinie Ledge Straight Eight night sights. This thing is frickin awesome!!

That is a nice looking .45, and great practice rifle!

Congrats on selling that shotgun.

Thanks. I was looking at a SA TRP, but after a lot of research I got this for the same price, plus it's handmade and has no MIM (metal injected moulding) parts in it. A guy on the 1911 forum tested a bunch of new .45's from 25 yards and this and the Les Baer TRS were within .19" in accuracy. He had an 09 Valor with only a custom barrel bushing at it averaged under an inch with 3 different loads. The 2010 Valors are supposed to have an even better barrel and bushings. Thread is here. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=255555

I haven't shot the DW or the 10/22 yet, but might hit the range on Monday to check them both out.

The shotgun sold for $830 w/shipping on gunbroker and that's what I paid 3 years ago for it. I was shocked!

Doesn't surprise me much, unless you purchase a firearm for a serious premium - $3k for the new FN SCAR type deal - They tend to hold their value pretty well even if well used.

Congrats on the pickups, they all look great. I love that XDm9 Wicked.

Love that DW Valor, most likely the best value in a semi-custom (yeah, way overused term) 1911 today. I'd take it over a Kimber II or SA any day.
