Nice gun, no doubt, but why do you always read "replaced with...." when it comes to Kimber and SA customs? Does anyone get a Brown, Baer, Wilson and replace parts?

Why not just get a real Ed Brown? Sorry, but the gun will always be a made in Brazil slide and frame filled with non MIM made in USA parts. JMO.

I always loved the look of that gun. I should have bought my brothers when he sold it a long time ago.
That combined with whatthis guy did to the gun, it's worth persuing. I'm not willing to go all out on the price but I have a $ in mind.

Between the Kart barrel and the fact that SA did all the work is what got me.

And as to why....?? Why not?

Why does a camaro owner dump $ into it rather than just get a vette or something else?

Why..... because I can! Ed Browns, NightHawks, Wilsons Baers, Yosts.. etc can be had all day long. takes some vision to get something done a certain way, that's thinking outta the box.

And I want to take this gun to another level and have a threaded barrel made for it and have a special can made in the same finish!

These guys are making one of the best .22lr cans on the market right now.

The big 3 in .22lr are SWR, AAC and these guys.

They just introduced their center fire line and looks interesting. The design isnt new, just forgotten since it;'s easier just to do a tube style suppresor. The purpose of the "look" of this can is the fact that it has a greater amount of internal air spce. This is impotant as it requires air space to help cool the gases produced by the firearm, thus making suppresion more eficient. I wont bore you with suppresor physics, if you want to learn about it read up. Just though ththis side note would be something intresting for you guys.

I don't know Ponch, looking at this picture, the frame to slide fit is pretty poor for such an expensive gun IMO.

From that pic your sure can tell that the slide and frame were not oversized and hand fit. In the add the guy selling the unit states that he had SA fit the frame to slide. Since it was done after the fact it was peened in place using a ball peen hammer and shims. I saw that in the pic as well. If Ken or John post pics of their TRP I'm sure you will see the rails are nice and 90 degree cut as oppesed to the picture posted. The TRP's didnt sart off as "target" guns, and that i sthe direction I think the seller was going for when he had this done. Again, this is the reason I'm glad teh seller did have SA do teh work. Any issues and it goes right back to them.

I'm still working out the details with the seller to see if we can agree on someting. belive me when I tell you that I will also call SA to make sure they are on board with and future work that should be required.

Thanks for looking out for me!
