Stocking up for Cali

Since you can't buy a lot of cool guns in cali, but you can bring them in as a one time personal importer when relocating I have decided to stock up.

Today I bought 2 ruger lcps

If I decide to sell one of them in Cali the going rate is $150 more than what I paid.

Make sure you triple check CA firearm laws before taking anything there. No hicaps period. Some CA guys said if caught with one, its 10 yrs. No assault weapons that are on the "list" can be brought in even if modified to CA regs (Bushmaster AR's are specifically named as banned for example even if you put the bullet button on it. A receiver that isnt on the list and has the bullet button is legal, but still nothing more than 10 rd mags.)

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

What do you mean by cash and carry?

The BATFE will have your head for an illegal out of state firearm purchase.

Where did you hear this Steve? A legitimate source or just more Gloryhole chit-chat?

I'm not sure these would fall into Cali Legal, but the price is right for stocking up. In fact, I may pick one or two up for stash.

go into the AR15.com hometown forums in the kalifornia section and ask the guys there that live there. They know which brands are still allowed.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

I meant the one time importing of banned firearms. There are a LOT of guns that aren't on the Kali list and as Rob said, the penalties are steep. Make 100% sure you know the legality here before you bring them into that state. Nothing like having to go in on Monday and tell your new employer that you have Felony charges pending because you wanted to make a few extra hundred $$.

With the ARs, I think the way the law is set up, you're only allowed 2 "evil" options. Evil options being Flash hiders, detachable magazines (still limited to 10 rounds in Kali), pistol grips, collapsible buttstocks, etc. I believe if you only have 2 of these, you're good to go, check the laws here first and don't quote me boy, I ain't said shit.

Yup, i'm watching what pistols i buy. It's nothing i'll get in trouble with.

The AR thing, you can have some evil options as long as the mag is 10 rounds or less and it's locked. Certain things aren't allowed of course.
