Because It's not 50 cal.???

The whole military thing is a bit much but I think slingshots are fun check out some of the other videos.

I also dig air rifles.

The thing about slingshots and air guns is the endless shooting time in your back yard .

In my prime I've spent 5,000 pellets a year.Once held the class tittle in field competition.

In field comp you travel the coarse with a partner shooting at foam targets that have hard epoxy in the kill zone which knocks the critter over. Squirrels, rabbits, rats and such.
Will stand back up as far out as 70yards with the pull of a sting.

Awesome trigger, breathing, sighting, practice. All of these things will make you a better shot no matter what your shooting.

People can compete with slingshots also.I once watched a fella ring a bell at 40yrds all night long with his slingshot. He could shot you in the eye at 40yrds.

I like slingshots. maybe not at a person protection level.Although I'd rather not be on Goliaths side

If daley had his way thats all we would be able to defend ourselves with. Of course we would have to put mandated safety corks on the knife tips, we would only be allowed 5 rocks on our person at a time and the battery pack for the stun gun would have to be locked in the trunk.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Goliath was killed with a sling. Different weapon. They didn't have rubber tubing in 1000 BC.

Here's a sling

Joerg is very cool. I've been chatting with him about slingshots, but this one I stumbled across was just over the top.

He's got a new slingshot that's a "compound" slingshot. It uses roller bearings to extend the draw, and he uses those huge flat bands.

I didn't get the whole story, but I think where he's at, they can't use the wrist style slingshots. I guess those are illegal in some countries. There is even a slingshot forum, but all I seemed to see was Chinese guys selling phallic looking slingshots, and old white guys selling wood cutout slingshots.

Joerg recommended this one to me though:
