Oustanding! .45 Caliber is the best out there. I love mine, and wouldn't carry anything else. Please post again and tell us how it shoots.
When you have it broke in with cheap ball ammo, load it with Hydra-Shok for carry. I've seen what they do, and it is impressive!

They have the 226 in the stainless variety now also. BUT, I already have a .40 and I really would like the .45. Sorry for hijacking your thread, Ody...

Here is my .45

Colt Gold Cup Series 80. Kart national match barrel and bushing, 3.5# Trigger job, Aluminum match trigger, Slide fitted, slide mounted Ultradot.

Shoots pretty good too! That is one handed at fifty feet. 2 strings of 5 rounds in 20 seconds each.

Nice piece of hardware!
I've always liked the 1911 style handgun, unfortunately they don't fit my hand well, to slim, not that it matters in the peoples republic of massachusetts... post 1998, 1911 style guns (except the S&W1911) are illegal to own, as are all Glocks, H&K's, even ruger .22's They don't meet the consumer protection laws

I saw a good bumper sticker a while back at Midwest Sporting Goods in Lyons - went something like this:

More people were killed in Ted Kennedy's car than by all of my guns combined.
