Where are you dove hunting in IL?

Hey, since Dove season is opening up soon I thought I'd ask... where are guys dove hunting in IL if at all? I've been hunting Indiana the last ~5-6 years just because my hunting buddies are out there.

Usually any pet store has a good selection to choose from. I start from the closest and work my way out.

Yea, not too many places. I've been going to Jasper Pulaski park in Indiana. It's a hell of drive, but the hunt is always good. They plant sunflowers for the dove and corn to provide hunter cover. I didn't get a opening day pick this year though.

I went out to Silver Springs on Saturday. Didn't see a single dove, until we were done hunting for the day and there were at least 10 of them flying back and forth in front of us as we walked back to the truck .

Yea, that always happens. I find a sure way to bring birds in is to put my gun down then go take a piss. It never fails.
