NICE! do you take payments?

can I "borrow it to try it before I buy it" :

sometime roughly round about November 20-30th should be a good enough length to figure out if it'll work for me.

oh and do you think it'd be able to hit and humanely kill a running deer at 1000 yards?

Nice rifle, who made the foreend?

Which model Leupold as well?

I'm running an ACE ARFX on my AR now too, solid stocks.

Spud- 5.56 at 1k yards... lol.

doh, I suppose if it was a .308, it'd be an AR10.

so that's a negative for 1k yd range. What is the effective range of 5.56?

Vx-1 on the scope.

YHM on the forend

This thing does shoot very tight. And it's not even broken in yet.

600 plus is iffy without solid shot placement.

engaging man size targets at 500 yds is easy enough with iron sights. USMC says 550yards effective range on point target for a 20" barreled 5.56

sounds about right. M855 #'s out of a 20" barrel

500 yds -36.0 1833 fps 463 ft-lbs
550 yds -50.7 1728 fps 411 ft-lbs
600 yds -67.6 1627 fos 364 ft-lbs

at 550, it's about the same anergy level as cheapo 9mm range fodder ammo. No point in using a 5.56 beyond that range.

Yup. USMC KD course has you shooting at 200, 300 and 500 yards with loosy-goosy beat to shit service rifles and iron sights. Every Marine can do it.

Interesting tidbit: at Camp Pendleton, there are 4 KD rifle ranges. Alpha, "world famous" Bravo, Charlie and Delta. The reason Bravo is "world famous" is Lee Harvey Oswald was trained there.

Get a nice 75 grain bullet load, out of my 18" i get 2820FPS, puts you about 350-355 ft.lbs at 700yds.. 437 ft.lbs at 600... and [email protected]

Surprisingly... Wolf's Gold Performance 75Gr. BTHP (which was being manufactured by Privi), was surprisingly consistent. I never got more than a 10-15 FPS variance with the stuff and it shot great. It was cheap as hell too. Brass cased, great loads... loved it...

Nice AR-15 there. I was in market for one and was looking arround, till I found out that there is almost no ranges close by which allows you to shoot ARs or AKs with .223 or up.

Where you guys shoot these things? Without driving hour and a half?

How about a trade. My new DW 1911 .45 VBOB and $300 cash. It's listed on here for sale.

Obviously you weren't interested in a trade, and after thinking about it, I don't need another AR with a 20" barrel.
