SO who's going wood rat hunting this year in WI?

Just curious how many of the city folk here are coming to WI to deer hunt?

We'll be up just north of Lyndon Station (assuming the trailer is habitable after my brother found that a couple trees fell over it and one branch went through the roof in the bathroom).

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Over a year now and my arm still isn't healed enought to use my bow. Sucks. Maybe I'll throw a slug barrel on my mossberg. Hunting with a shotgun and not a rifle just makes me giggle though...

Not to derail this, but has anyone heard any news on the wasting disease around WI and IL? I know a couple years ago up near the dells it was supposedly pretty bad?

My stepdad took a nine-pointer out of his backyard a week or so ago with his bow. I procrastinated and screwed myself out of early muzzleloader (whod've thunk they would SELL OUT of licenses?!) and will content myself with waiting for butt-ass-cold first shotgun and late muzzleloader season in December.

Its overblown by the DNR. More than likely the insurance industry got them to blow it out of proportion. They keep claiming the herd is HUGE, but yet I havent seen one in a 2-3yrs where we go. Last year we only heard about 4-5 shots on opening weekend.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
