LCPs? here's how that works. Tony and Mopar swear by them and Smartdrug says they suck ass because they don't have the ballistics to put an intruder down even at close range. They'll go back and forth and then eventually agree to disagree. Tony will tell you how it doesn't print even when wearing shorts. Mopar likes it because it's gangster or something like that

Depends on what you want it for.

It's a "cool" looking .22 plinker. But compared to other .22 plinkers in its price range (ex: Browning Buckmark, Ruger's various .22s), it's not nearly as accurate or reliable.

I chalk it up to a fun, cool plinker, but would rather own a more reliable, accurate plinker (and own a Buckmark as a result).

I'm a member of the camp that says that the smallest caliber one should rely upon for self defense, is 9mm. Others argue that .380 ACP is an adequate self-defense round. While .380 is the same diameter of a 9mm, they still differ greatly in ballistics.

The two fundamental factors that matter, in a self-defense situation, is accuracy and the ability of a given bullet to stop a threat. Presuming accuracy of both is equal, a 9mm's ballistics show that it has greater stopping capacity than .380 ACP.

Like anything in life, you are compromising/making a trade-off when choosing one or the other. .380 ACP is smaller and more concealable, but less effective. I personally argue whether that small fraction of an inch really matter that much?

If you are willing to put your life behind that, then that is your choice. However, it is not mine.
