Kirk,

Had to fit the mags to the stock. Gotta love mass produced things from diffrent mfg's not working together.

Trigger was tuned, action dropped in, mags fitted and function checked, scope rail installed.

Good observation, they actualy are!

That's teh diffrence in your build and his build though. You wanted a more tactical oriented rifle, where capacity and ease of change were key. In this build he wanted a more target oriented set up where "quick" isnt one of the build factors. The mags in this set up lock in to the stock a lot tighter than yours do into the bottom metal. both functional platforms just two diffrent purposes.

There is no question your gun would not only reload faster or have a higher capacity, but they should both shoot fairly close.

I already mentioned to Kirk that I wanted to see if we could get both these guns on the range at the same time for sight in this spring.

I'm game! I was looking to join ASC since they have all the sports I like to do. Rifle/Pistol/Trap/Skeet/Sporting Clays and Archery... just the cost is the one prohibitive factor!

No shit.

And sorry we got rained out that day. Ice-rain doesn't sound like fun for sighting in rifles.

You can pay to get out of hours or if you set up a few courses there, it covers the hour requirements.

If you're in the city, Racine isn't much further than ASC.

Chicago to Waterman: 63 Miles - 1hr 16min

Chicago to Racine: 74 miles - 1hr 33min

Extra 15 min of travel for a much more private range with less idiots to deal with, a price worth paying IMHO.
