Were the XDs part of the 3 extra mag deal? If they were hopefully you bought before year end. Seems like a good price. Congrats.

Just won the auction tonight. Cheapest new I could find was for 560 out the door. Figured if I can snag up that auction for a brand new one for 425 shipped I thought it would be a good deal. Even at cabela's and other local gun shops around me I see used ones going for 400+ dollars.

just curious if u were looking at the xdm as well. newb to firearms here but i was looking at an xdm 9 when they came out and people seemed eager to pick up the new model. how do the xd and xdm compare now that the hype has gone away?

think i may consider an xd or xdm 9 this year.

XDm= Same gun but with a Match barrel and interchangeable backstrap. Both are great but I'd spend the $ on the XDm given a choice.

XDM is a higher end model. Cost a good amount more and I really shouldnt of bought the XD as it is lol but I couldnt pass that up. I seen a few xdm models for a decent price but im a newb at shooting and dont need such a higher end model yet. Gotta learn with what I got first and figure it out and then upgrade once its worth it.

Until you're winning local handgun competitions, that XD will probably be more than enough even without the match barrel.

It's like a stock GSXR-600, the equipment is good enough, racing/shooting it well comes down to you.

Very well put. Gonna take a lot of range time before I need anything "better". I am only just now able to keep most of my shots in the circle on those big target sheets. Practice is definatly in my future.

+1 the xd is an excellent piece. Its very capable, i have had very good results with Alex's. Thight groups were surprisingly easy.

I think the XDM had a higher mag capacity also. there were a number of upgrades. I had an XDm .40 and loved it and I plan on picking the new 3.8" barrel model up shortly.

Im sure you'll be happy with the XD.

I just snagged the new XDM compact after firing a bud's XD Subcompact. The more appropriate GSXR example would we a 2008 vs. 2010 model year. More than enough for anyone here, and there's a small but noticeable difference.

Aye, but Rossi on an '08 will smoke 99.999% of other riders on a 2010.

Difference may exist but whether you have the skill to use them to your advantage is on the shooter's shoulders.

Big difference as they didn't make a 2010 GSXR. JK I get what you are saying though.
