One of you guys is going to get their house raided Seiously, can you guy give me some info on getting a FOID card? This card only gives you access to the shooting ranges, right? Or is there another reason for having one. Clueless.

You need FOID to legally buy/own firearm/s.

As for the forum, hey you can also put this on the banner:

Chicago's Original Shooting Club

Yes thats true BWA but you also need it for handling of a weapon and handling/purchasing ammunition as well.

They wont let you touch NOTHING related to a firearm without the card!

WHAT?!
Jezus, what country do you guys live in? Is that a state-wide law or only Chicago metro? That blows!

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

If you have a picture to send in then go to a gun shop/shooting range and get the Form and fill it out and tape picture to form and send in a $5.00 check. I was told it will take 2-8 weeks to get.

I went to MegaSports in Plainfield and had them take my pic for an extra $6.00 I think as I didn't have one. They have the forms right there for ya to fill out and even check the over to make sure it's filled in right.

IF things go as planned here, I'll be able to get a CCW permit in WID Pretty sure even if the idiot governer here vetos the bill (it passed both houses with a majority voting yes), they will overturn his veto. Then for $75 and some "training", I'll be able to carry if I feel the need to. Doesnt mean I'll be carrying all the time.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

It should be here soon Sean, Its hunting season right now and they are swamped. The guy at the gun shop confirmed what people were saying here about mine going quicker becasue it was a renewal and not a brand new application.
