Selling: Saiga 12 Shotgun LOOOOOOK

After I recently said I'd never sell this gun, I've decided to sell my Saiga 12 shotgun in order to have cash for other things in my life.
This sale is for my Saiga 12 shotgun as shown in the pictures. Everything in the pictures come with the gun (Case, (2) 10-round mags, MD20 drum).
This gun is perfect. I purchased this about a year ago brand new from PFI who did all of the conversion work and opening gas ports for cycling the cheap stuff. This will fire Federal bulk birdshot all day long. I still have reciepts from PFI showing the work he did for me which totaled about $1000.

Other modifications I have done to this are:
Magpul CTR adustable stock
Chaos Titan Quad Rail
Molot GK-01 compensator (Had to order this from Russia. Very expensive, but what a difference!)
RAM extended magazine release
Chaos HK sights
Tromix Extended (large) Charging Handle
AFG angled foregrip
CSS puck
Gunfixers (5 settings) adjustable plug
Hogue pistol grip

This gun has been my favorite gun since I got it, and is a real head turner. When I take it to the range it's a guarantee that I have 2-3 people come up to me asking what this gun is, asking to hold it or take pictures of it. I'm disapointed that I have to sell it, but I need the cash for other things. No issues w/ this gun. It'll shoot slugs, buck, or birdshot all reliably.
If you're local (chicagoland area) and have cash, I'll be happy to go to the range with you to show you it'll fire anything we feed it. It's impossible to fire this without smiling.
I have between 180-250 rounds through it, almost all of it birdshot.

I'm asking $1600 for this setup. If local, I'll also throw in the rest of my 12ga ammo (about 150 birdshot, some slugs, and (~50) 00Buck.
I've saved just about every reciept and manual for all of the extra parts, along with the original parts (except stock) that you can have with the gun if you prefer.

Feel free to PM, email, or text with questions or comments..

Odysseys, it would be! That's one of the last things I wanted to do with it, and even set up an appointment with a chicago gun smith but never went through with it. As long as you keep the legal overall length it's totally legal to have that done to it.
It'll fire as fast as you can pull the trigger.

OAL from collapsed stock to:
1) End of muzzle - 40 3/4"
2) Front of Rail - 26 1/2"

The GK-01 Compensator is 5 3/8" long by itself.

sinister! best one I have seen by far. Good luck w sale!

If a shotgun barrel is rifled, could it be 16"? Kind of like how a judge pistol, or S&W governor is not an AOW?

No a shotgun has to have a certain overall length. Since the compensator is threaded on right now it doesn't count as part of the barrel. You can count the compensator as part of the barrel if it's welded or pinned on "permanently".
I get what you're asking though - i'm not sure what makes something a shotgun vs a handgun or if it's based on if you have a shoulder stock or not.

Any shoulder fired weapon must be at least 26" OAL or its NFA.

Barrel still needs to be 18"+ but OAL must exceed 26" when stock is unfolded and extended.

Not an issue here but clearing up misinformation.

Bump - this gun is still available.
Also to clear up any confusion from conversation above, the barrel length on this is perfectly legal.

sent them to NY and get this - there about $900 worth of aftermarket parts there, if I am not mistaken, shotty is $600, conversion parts are about $130

you save all the FFL, shipping and work to convert it!

I'll make the decision easy for you. Come to Article II on Saterday afternoon and put some lead down range with it. I'll be there with some friends and will have the S12 on me. I think after seeing/holding/shooting the Saiga it will be a no-brainer

my friend agreed to purchase the Saiga and sent him a deposit to hold the gun, the seller then backed out of the deal and sold it to somebody else. I guess a deposit or your word isnt worth much.

I'm glad you finally posted this instead of still threatening to do it via PM's. Feel better?
To anyone who cares:
I did work out a deal w/ his friend who lives in Madison, WI and accepted a $150 deposit. I looked into details of what it would take to sell the firearm over state lines and apparently we need to go through an FFL, and one who will accept a F2F transfer. My brother found out I was selling it and was able to take it the same day. I sent an email to Leyton with an appology (1 day after he had sent the deposit) and explained that my brother is goig gto buy it locally, saving me a trip to Madison. I also returned his deposit along with paypal's fee.

The next morning I see jkruger sent me a PM demanding I explain what happened to him before he "made this situation public". I explained it and told him he could go ahead and make it public. He also said his friend isn't square with the deal yet.. (implying I should make up for it with more money?) That's not happening.
Anyways, it's not my standard procedure to give back a deposit and sell to someone else, but my brother has apparently been eyeing this shotgun for a long time and I never thought to offer it to him. After an appology and the deposit returned only 1 day later, I feel like it's not a huge deal.
That's all I care to defend myself on this.. I've sold many items in the past, even 2 bikes to members here and have had no problems.

Sounds reasonable. Cash is king, even with a deposit. The only mistakes you made were not telling him that and not knowing the laws. Lesson learned for both parties.

yep, cash deposit to hold the item unless the seller no longer feels like holding the item. seems like a perfectly reasonable policy to have.

Huh? Can't tell if you are being sarcastic.

Cash money paid in full, especially with unforeseen obstacles like this over a 1 day period trumps a deposit. Deposit should be returned of course.

Seems fair to me. If your buddy paid in full with transfer fees and an FFL I would say it's a different story. Money returned within a day as well, I wouldn't hesitate to make a deal with the seller.

On the fence with this one, usually first one with the full cash amount wins in my book. As long as the deposit was returned nothing lost but the dreams of owning a bad ass saiga.
