Hokay- Imagine this carbine...

I'm walking to the (nice) bathroom at work, and this just struck me like an anvil to the head.

Imagine a Kriss Super V ...... in 10mm!!

Why hasn't this been done yet!!!

Yeah, so far. It was designed to use the stopping power of the .45 ACP, but in a low recoil, small footprint, folding stock carbine.

I just get giddy thinking of what this would be like in 10mm.

Expensive and deadly . I'll wait for the 9mm or 5.56 .

Both of those rounds go backwards from design intentions. But I can see a 9mm version shooting as lightly as a .22 if the recoil mechanism would work with such a light round.

Hey now! Maybe I'm a super secret tactical operator with a thigh holster and trauma plate that can take multiple .308 shots to the back! You don't know me!

Oh shit, how did I miss that!? Another excuse to swing by there this weekend.

Oh, and Kriss-USA just got back to me. I told him "I don't see 10mm in that list!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric,

Thanks for your inquiry. We are working on our new model, K10, which should be available in early 2013. The K10 will be produced in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Megasports does have one in their rental cabinet. I meant to rent it last time I was there but didn't.
I just started reloading 45acp so I want a carbine and this one really fits the bill. Also it takes Glock 21 magazines! Load a 30 rnd magazine and go to town.
Too bad they're so expensive.. I'm torn between Kriss Vector (above), and Daniel Defense M4. I'm making gobs of 45 acp so I might spend the extra money on the kriss and wait on an AR.

nice, but I think I should start saving on Tavor - looks like it's going to be available in US soon. I might sell a few of my toys to get it.

they are assault rifles and can not be imported, so Charles Daley is setting up for US production and already got BATFE approval. just like Steier AUGs are made in US for US market

nope, when I was in, M4s were the new shit! replacing M16A2. Tavor showed up 10 years after my discharge

I talked to people that used it though and they all said it was one of the best rifles they ever had ergonomics wise. and they gave a run to AUG or F2000 in terms of reliability. also MARS RDS/laser is supposed to be one of the best sights in production - not well known in US, but I heard some branches here starting to use it.

I'm going to need to do more research. I really like the Kriss, but you have me interested in the Tavor. There is a shot show video of it that I happened to get in E-mail yesterday. (but I can't watch with sound at work...so I'll check it out laterz)

Apparently they've fixed the issues that the early models had. I've also read that a jam on one of these is a real PITA to fix. Kinda turning me off of this $1700 carbine.

IIRC Charles Daly went bankrupt midway through the importation process of the Tavor and it's dead in the water now.

I dig the Kriss' concept, they're really nice in person too. A few major issues IRL though, no SBR for us and no suppression or auto- given that, I'd rather run a 9mm AR so as not to have to train for a new manual of arms. Cool concept though.

Not worth it IMHO, gonna carry a rifle, may as well have some oomph behind it.. RRA makes them factory, I'd pass.
