FS Yugo SKS LNIB

I bought it few months ago from Cabelas.
1982 manufacture - it was unfired when I got it - all numbers match.
I have shot it 1 time only - less than 100 rounds
I have bunch of stripper clips and 2 tapco 20 rnd magazines

comes with sling, oiler, tool kit, box and everything. byonet and grenade launcher - bone stock

$250 takes it

This makes no sense - I live in Cook county and bought in the store located in Cook county

are you talking about Chicago ban or Cook County ban?

ok, I did a little digging

Cook County AWB prohibits SKS with detachable magazine with more than 10 rnds

so, only Chinese Norinco SKS-M are banned. Yugo, Russian and others SKS with fixed magazine - like mine are not banned

If you want a 1911 then you better have more than 500-600 range. Unless you want something crappy. Then after you buy it, you'll spend even more money trying to figure out which magazine works best.

I am a cheap bastard

I am getting STI Spartan - after extensive research. I am not after the looks and finish at this time, looking for good shooter and STI Spartan V proves itself to be it - can't argue with STI parts inside. not a bling gun - the lowest in STI line up, but still gets solid reviews

I'm not after bling either but after seeing too many 1911's with different issues, I'm quite happy with Glocks. I love shooting my Kimber, but I wouldn't put my life on it.

well, if you refer to 50 year old GI 1911 guns, you are somewhat right, but after attending some training and watching instructors - IDPA and USPSA competitive shooters and what they use, I changed my mind

but I like building and developing firearms, and bikes as well - I mod and improve every gun and bike I own - to each it's own.

G-34 is a great gun, I am just not into glocks, nothing against the brand, just don't like the look and feel of it

There are XD and M&P variants also. I've been debating on the 1911 dedicated shooter, but the negatives outweigh the positives.

I might get a subcompact XDm for carry in the future - been looking at that gun and Kahr CW9 - the few I don't dislike from the polymer framed guns and I want to move from .380 to 9mm for carry

right now I got a bad itch for 1911 that needs to be scratched

I'd also look at Walther PPQ. Been reading some good reviews on it.

Your right, not banned under the Cook county. But it banned because of the Bayonet under the chicago law.
