Boycott of Starbucks to launch on Valentine's Day: End "open carry" gun policy

Starbucks’ Love for Guns Prompts Gun Victims’ Advocate Group to Launch Nationwide Boycott on Valentine’s Day 2012

CHICAGO, IL.: A nationwide boycott of Starbucks stores and its products will be launched on Valentine’s Day 2012. Its goal is to eliminate the risk of guns in public places and ultimately to bring sane gun laws to the U.S.

This boycott is being called by the National Gun Victim’s Action Council (NGAC), a network of representatives of 14 million gun victims, the faith community — including the Episcopal Peace Fellowship, United Church of Christ, Fellowship of Reconciliation — and secular groups working to reduce gun violence and many of the organizations that support passing sane gun laws.

I enjoy drinking coffee. I like Starbucks, I like guns, I like carrying guns, I like honest people that carry guns. I think its a win win situation.

If you feel like helping the gun bloggers troll, there's a couple of FB "events" that you can "sign up" for. They're using those numbers as a counter-point to the stupid candle thing that the brady camp was doing.

I would go to Starbucks to support this, but I don't feel safe going there unarmed, and I can't risk going to jail in Nazicago for walking about with my handguns.

Shame too, as I really miss coffee.

Well I could tell that this made a difference at my Starbucks as teh line was only 10 dep. Usually its about 30 deep at the one in my building. Not very often I see the line that small.

It was out of my way, however I made the trip anyway. My wife brought up the bogo at Caribou, I told here I was going to Starbucks anyway. Don't personally drink coffee however I got a delicious strawberries and cream Frappuccino.
