MAG-20/Classroom – Armed Citizens’ Rules of Engagement:
A two-day, 20-hour immersion course in rules of engagement for armed law-abiding private citizens, emphasizing legal issues, tactical issues, and aftermath management. Topics will include interacting with suspects, witnesses, responding police officers…threat recognition and mind-set…management of social and psychological aftermath after having had to use lethal force in defense of self or others…and preparing beforehand for legal repercussions and minimizing exposure to them. Situations in the home, at the place of business, or “on the street” will all be covered. Prerequisite: none. Equipment List. Cost: $400

What every gun owner should know, from a renowned authority. Well worth the trip. October 13-14, courtesy of my favorite gun store - Cedar Valley Outfitters.

Hope to see some of you there!

MAG-20 range (not classroom) course will be taught in Racine, WI on June 9-10 delivered by MillwaukeeCOPS
Milwaukee Community Outreach Partners are pleased to announce that The Massad Ayoob Group will be holding the "MAG-20 Range Course" at Racine County Line Rifle Club, in Racine, Wisconsin. This class will be held on Saturday,
June 9, 2012 and Sunday, June 10, 2012. Class will start each day at 8:00 am and run until the course of fire is completed.
The History of The MAG-20 Range Course: The MAG-20 Range Course is formally the StressFire Course of Massad Ayoob’s Lethal Force Institute (LFI). The MAG-20 Range Course is the heart and soul of The Massad Ayoob Group’s shooting curriculum. Its earliest roots sprouted from the "Officer Survival Movement" of the 1970's. At that time, police firearms training was based on concepts of marksmanship that served well on the sterile laboratory of the range, but failed in high pressure, real world gunfights. Tragically, cops were losing these battles (and sometimes their lives) to hardened criminals and as a result, firearm training was in a state of crisis. Massad Ayoob set out to change that fact. By interviewing hundreds of officers who had survived gunfights, Ayoob used their experiences, combined with his own extensive research to create a powerful combat handgun system; a system that countless experts agree is arguably the best and most successful response to the aforementioned firearm training crisis. How it was Developed Ayoob discovered from extensive research dating as far back as World War I, that in life threatening situations, human beings will experience incredible physical and psychological pressure or "stress." This life threatening stress causes fine motor skills to deteriorate, perception of time to slow down and the senses to focus on the threat, to the exclusion of almost everything else.
Based on this discovery, Ayoob took the best of the techniques available at the time, (e.g. Weaver and Chapman) eliminated the techniques that were difficult to perform and added insights gleaned from various martial arts. The result was a system of combat techniques that not only worked in the face of the enormous stress of violent encounters but actually fed off it.
This series of techniques is the system we now know as The MAG-20 Range Course.
The MAG-20 Range Course a dynamic, two day course will "dump an encyclopedia" of handgun shooting skills and knowledge into the mind and body of each student. Like all Massad Ayoob Group based courses, The MAG-20 Range Course is designed to bring out the student's maximum potential for shooting a handgun under stress and to achieve the optimum blend of speed and accuracy. The MAG-20 Range Course is ideal for the shooter who wishes to hone and fine-

tune their techniques. Students will learn the biomechanics, stress management and techniques that actually feed off stress instead of crumbling under it, with the focus on shooting drills.
