Ammo Prices

I'm not sure if we can merge this into one of the existing stickies, but this is a pretty good place to help narrow down your search for ammo. I've found a couple great deals this week on better quality ammo.

It gets updated regularly assuming people are flagging and adding deals as they go along.

And my favorite at the moment is a place out here in iowa ... who's name I've forgotten who I've gotten 1000rds of 9mm Sellier and Bellot from for $200 and he'll ship for almost nothing (I've picked up instead of shipping)

It's 9mm I happen to be looking for. I need some fresh brass for reloading. I have a feeling I'm going to be doing a lot of shooting in the next few years.

I'm fucking starved for 9mm these days, been doing a lot of pistol work.

SD is in for a group buy - preferably by the pallet.

I don't know about a pallet, but as soon as I get some guitar gear sold off, I'm going to be putting an order in a for a few thousand, and/or 4-5k of components to make my own. Right now, one of the best deals I can find is 1000 WWB 115gr for $200 plus shipping.

Winchester White Box has better brass for reloading. S&B brass can be really hit or miss. Not sure with Fiocchi brass.

Never had issues with Blazer, and just ordered another case. But I'm interested in a good deal someone is able to come up with.

I've got E-mails out to 4 different shops asking if they have further discounts if we put in a single order of 5000 rounds. One already came back saying they are as discounted as possible. I have a feeling the others are going to say the same.

Meh, I've shot 10's of thousands of rounds of Blazer, both 9mm and .45. It's my primary go-to ammo, since it's cheap. Can't reload it but it's perfectly fine range ammo. After all, pay for what you get.

Keeping an eye... need more .45 than 9mm, but am interested nonetheless.

Andy, wherever I wind up ordering from, I see about tacking on a case of 45. Worst case, we might save a little on shipping.

I've also run a shitton of Blazer, both brass and aluminum, never had any issues. Ran it at a class last year, put 800 rounds down range and had one stovepipe on round 600-750 but that was due to the weapon being dry and dirty.

Is it the best ammo in the world, no, but it's perfectly capable range ammo.

Second vendor just got back to me, 25k minimum before discount. I doubt I'd get that sort of commitment from CLSB. LOL

They wouldn't say unless I committed to purchase. I have a feeling that at 25k rounds, they were probably just giving me wholesale or wholesale +10% so they make something off of it, and have the ammo drop shipped directly from Federal.

I just heard from another vendor, said it would be $1200 for $5k Federal Champion shipped to my door. That's pretty much regular price IMHO.

It doesn't look like I'm going to find any better deals anytime soon.

I can't even reload for .09 a round. Well, maybe if I loaded straight up lead purchased in bulk, with free 9mm brass.

Figure Primer =.03
Lead = .04
Powder = .02
Assuming Brass = Free
& Time = Free
-----------------------------
That's .09 a round

Still couldn't beat Cabelas price on 45 ACP 1000 rounds Federal....$379 vs $349.
