Glock Magazine ?

I just got a used Glock 23 with 3-13 round magazines, one of the magazines has a number 2 next to the Glock symbol on the back of the magazine. I was wondering if anybody knows what the difference is between the magazines.

Look at the front of the magazine, there should be two cutouts one on each side. This is so you can change which side the magazine release is on.

The only thing different I saw was the metal showing through on the front of the magazine with the 2 on it. I've attached more pictures, the one on the left is the one with the 2 on it.

The magazine on the left will have one more coil in the spring than the one on the right.
The number next to the glock logo is the designation for this revision. The revision was called for after it was found that G22's and G23's were having reliability issues feeding when lights were being added to the gun. The extra coil inthe spring resoloved this issue.

Arrogance has to be earned.

The revision was done prior to the release of teh Gen4. Thus all gen4 mags should already be stamped 2 by default.

What Ponch said.

If you want you can ship it to glock to get night sights installed for $55ish + shipping to them. They tear it down, clean it and inspect. They replace any broken or out of spec parts and test fire. Just got mine back today, clean as new, very smooth, and they exchanged my mags for new ones.

Go in w someone to split the shipping.
