Homicide tracking

In Chicago....

http://homicides.redeyechicago.com/

Just wondering why Chicago police can't setup checkpoints like in the burbs when they do DUI - A.K.A/Safety checks, or even a sting operation in neighborhoods like Englewood, Roseland...etc? Raid the fucking projects already. These gang banger's are shooting up the town. 118 Homicides in the first quarter.

You think if this shit started happening in the burbs the police wouldn't shut the town down?

Check these stats: http://homicides.redeyechicago.com/neighborhoods/

04 Yamaha YZ450F - Off-Road it, mang
06 Kawasaki BruteForce 750i
09 Yamaha Raptor 700r

- Mike - OldSkool - MC -

Because in those neighborhoods.... they have already lost control. your assuming its like the burbs where the police have some influence over the people. the people down there dont care about the police, they are about as effective as the hall monitor in grade school.

The only thing thats going to save those neighborhoods, is to deal with the gangs on a level they understand. the few good citizens left are going to have to arm themselves and take the violence to the gangs.

Sounds good. Let's go in there and shoot them all dead. That seems to be working over in the middle east.

LOL, and diplomacy worked so well. war is hell, if it was all unicorns and rainbows everyone would be all for it.

these people are at war with the gangs whether they know it or not. and violence ends violence pretty quick if done right. dead people dont fight back.

It would be considered racial profiling, even though the majority of shootings happen in the black hoods there would be some asshole like jesse or al sharpton protesting that the CPD is discriminatory against blacks. So ya know what fuckem then, id have no problem going thru check points if my neighborhood was savage land where shootings happen on a daily basis.

You can go into hoods and play shoot em up all you want. It's not going to change anything. That's all they know, and really all they do. Most of these kids have no fear. They aren't scared of prison, cops, or somebody else with a gun. I'm not saying playing nicey nice is the answer either. I'm saying there really isn't one. Police and citizens can try their best to keep the crap in the crap hoods, but other than that there's really nothing else that can be done.

maybe we should put up speed cameras there. they are supposed to increase safety according to the Rahminator.

but seriously, let the citizens carry guns and at least have a fighting chance at saving their own life. restricting them is only sending them to their slaughter.

Homocide Tracker

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

I work in a similar neighborhood down here in Houston. All I can say is they are savages, complete disregard for anyone or anything but themselves. I think a major difference is here they have been "policed".

To be honest, I don't think being armed is going to stop anything in these neighborhoods.... They ARE already carrying.

Also, these are kids getting randomly shot, drive by shootings.... these are not confrontational shootings(I'm sure some are but...) these are gangbangers driving around shooting up the place. (I just read a story last week of a mother and baby getting shot while in their home sleeping)

So once again, you're telling me the Chicago police can setup sting operations in these hoods? Road blocks etc?? Why the hell not?

I would think if you lived there... you would welcome this activity by the police. Especially if you have young kids. I really don't think the race card would come up if the police had check points searching cars for weapons.

WTF is a road block going to do? they will just drive down the next street past is. I think your also missing the point and generalizing the area of only blacks.

Right now the LK and 2-6 are having a major war in the area of 38th and tripp/whipple area after that little girl was shot a few weeks ago. she was the niece of a high ranking 2-6 member. Their claimed areas being fairly big is ALL Spanish

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

Yeah, I guess you're right... they should just do nothing like they are already doing. That's a much better solution. oh wait, the churches are getting involved by all holding hands, saying prayers, singing songs, and marching with signs at 1pm in the afternoon - yeah, that will work!

I'm not missing any point.... Who said anything about just doing this in "black" areas? I never did. I said neighborhoods with very high homicides & "gang bangers". Hence the reason I posted the maps and chart with number of deaths in each neighborhood. I just happened to mention two bad neighborhoods where the population is mainly black - I didn't insinuate only black neighborhoods.

Checkpoint = Police high presence + It also may not stop everyone but I would put money it will stop some. It also may deter gang bangers from driving around with loaded weapons knowing the cops are there stopping vehicles for random checks.

And to you're point about driving around them..... if they are setup right, it won't be easy to drive around (for instance - multiple locations at once) . I've been through a few that looked like a construction site up until you're right next to a cop that was flagging people down to pull you over. It was also setup if they saw someone intentionally doing a u-turn they had a few squads ready to pull them over. IMO, it could easily be done properly. They also could move areas from time to time to prevent gang bangers from warning their friends. And as I said before, it might not catch everyone but it would sure put a damper on many, IMO.

If you have any better ideas I'd love to hear it.

It's very obvious who has never been through the ghetto LOL. Build a big wall around the whole west side and let them all kill each other, fucking animals. I worked in all the "Great" neighborhoods of Chicago for 3 years. They don't give a shit if the cops are there are not. I witnessed shootings within a block of where a cop was parked. If you haven't been there to see it you probably can't imagine it. Hire 1000 more cops (that give a shit) in the ghetto in riot gear 24/7.

Checkpoints? Really? First of all, CPD does not have the number of officers as it used to have. Second of all, Cook county court system is a joke. Third of all, Quinn is an idiot for doing the early release program and taking away the death penalty.
