comp tech holster

Looking to get the comp tech paddle holster for my glock 17, and I'm just a little confused. There's and option for with, or without a rail, and I'm not sure what's the right answer for my bone stock 17

Simple question you have a after market rail attached to it? NO then you have your answer no rail.

I have the fbi version, if your planning on having it concealed it will still show the out line also it has a bit thickness to it. Also make sure you adjust the tension screwed to your liking as they are from the factory loose as if if you shake the holster as if running with a weapon in it the weapon pops out. Great holster but IMO its a regular duty holster without any safety aka tension release, thumb/finger releases and I kind of miss not having something secure the weapon period in the holster.

I took a few pics for you to actually see it from all angles with a weapon in it

If you are going to get a paddle holster, then might as well get a Serpa.

Yeah, but according to the Police Trainers those are flawed and cause many experienced officers to shoot themselves in the arse.

Called and talked to customer service today, and turns out since its gen 3 I actually do want the one with a rail, turns out its got nothing to do with aftermarket rails

Prior to gen 3, no rail.

Gen3/4 is railed.

They're not referring to aftermarket rails

Check out DSG Alpha. Kydex and can be had w/ specific weapon lights. IWB or OWB carry w/no additional hardware. OWB mode is very close to the body and very comfortable. Can also mount it to molle if you have a war belt/ vest, etc. Paddle holsters are not comfortable for me 95% of the time.

I have one for G22 (should fit G17 irrc ) w/ tlr1 if you want to check it out.

Don't want to start that argument again.

If you want kydex Raven concealment is the way to go. I bought a copy for my G22 with a tlr1 and just recently got a raven for my G23. The quality of the raven blows the other one out of the water.

I considered it, the price is actually pretty comparable, just didn't want to wait the 45 days

I got a kaluban cloak from calculated sentience. I got my Raven in less than 30 days off their quick ship list.
