What suppressor to buy first????

Less than a month until I move to Colorado. What should I suppress first, my ar, Remington 700 in 308, 9mm, or pick up a 45?

I love free states

I'm going to get one after I figure out how I want my AR-15 built. But I think I want to mate it to a short barrel, so I'm still researching.

Oh, and there will be lots of hate in this thread.

so check the AR off the list if sub .223 is hard to find.
a suppressed .308 bolt action rifle just seems kind of weird to me. using a super slow round seems counter to the purpose of a long distance rifle.

I'd build an AR in .308 and put a can on that!

I'm building an AR-15 in 9mm with Glock mags. Cheaper to shoot, and I can use it at most of the indoor ranges here. Almost all ranges are fine with SBR and supressors, but full auto indoor is limited.

It will be much like this, but without the front grip and Glock mags.

Slower bullets benefit from suppressors because you aren't taking away from what the bullet was made for. Example: a 10mm slowed down to work best with a suppressor is a waste of time - the bullet was meant to go fast.

I was at RGUNS this weekend picking up my "new" Mosin sniper - they had Glock Beta Mags - a full 100 round dual drum mag!

What, the Mosin? $155 - It has a downturned bolt, but no scope. I'm figuring out my own scope and mounting method so I can have something more modern on top.

AIM Surplus just got a shipment of real Mosin Sniper Rifles for $575

If you're talking about the Glock Beta Mag, I think they priced it at $299 or $350. I really didn't pay much attention except for noticing it existed. I don't own any glocks, and wouldn't waste time with a Glock mag till I bought a Kriss Super V which uses extended Glock mags.

I'll think about Steve. If shipping isn't more than a couple of bucks deal. I have to check on shipping for Mandy's stuff too.

If you have the paperwork, build your own, can you do that . The Texaco station in Alpine (where I bought my 1911, I love WY) sold suppressors also, I never looked at the prices.

I found your post - 100 quantities are too small for me. That's barely enough for me to develop a ladder test for each of the 3 powders I have available, and leaves me nothing left over to actually shoot once I have a round developed.

I could use that 7.62x39 brass though - I have a nice SKS I might eventually reload for. This is all assuming the brass you have is boxer primed...but I'm sure you checked all that when you put them in your stash.

No worries, that's what I figured killed the deal for me. There is a sportsman warehouse in Denver and they carry all the reloading equipment.
