I'm surprised that there is a clear title to these weapons. I'd certainly figure the'd be property of the State of Texas (via the Texas Rangers) originally as evidence in commission of a crime and that the State of Texas could easily demonstrate that unless it gave written permission for these weapons to be transferred to an individual then they would be considered stolen property.

Especially in these hard financial times, I'd figure the government would stake a claim to them.

Both weapons sold at auction. Bonnie's .38 fetched $264k, Clyde's .45 sold for $240k. Total was $504k, both sold to the same person. I'm glad to see these two pistols staying together.
