I'm surprisingly available after this weekend.

Maybe we need a hunting outfitter sticky. I'm thinking of this place after Thanksgiving and looking for 2 or 3 people to occupy a blind with. I have a neighbor who is interested already but he's mucho busy on the weekends.

http://www.comekillgeese.com/
This place is out of Aurora. I met them at the National Outdoor Days at Silver Springs State Park. Seems fairly accessible. Back by 3pm sorta thing. 4 hunters to a blind plus a guide for 5 total. $150 per hunt.

Another place that I've been checking out is out of the Peoria area and only 2.5 hours away from Chicago. $200 for a 2 night pheasant hunt. $5/ squirrel. That's more my style. I spent $150 on an Iowa hunting license to hunt on a fraction of that land and I didn't see much that I could shoot (legally you know).

Have not barked rounds at water fowl in over (20) years but would love too - The 12 needs to be used

Country? - Never - Bird Hunting, grew up doing it - My Dad had us on bikes or shooting - Trained a few Dogs too - I like Duck Hunting the most - I hated Pheasant as those fuckers are too fast for me and I can do without the walking - Jump in a boat behind a blind tied to a tree off the shore and cast out the decoys...........did it for YEARS my man

OK, talked to the guy - he said dec 8th could be too late - chance the ducks will mostly pass on the way south

he has a spot for 3 people on December 1st or 2nd
License and stamps would run something like $40 and the hunt $100

I need firm commitment either for Dec 1st or Dec 2nd

What time do you leave the blind at the end of the day? My wife just bought tickets for a holiday play for my kids and I'd have to watch the baby at 2:30pm on the 1st. 2nd is titular open. I could do the 1st, just not pm. Flyer says show up 45 min before sunrise.

they say it's basically depends on the how hunt goes - usually you are done by noon, feel free to leave whenever you want, hunting starts at dawn, most fly bys are within few hours after

Samal: Where are we with our 3rd man? If we need someone I could ask my neighbor or expand the search to a close friend but I don't want to do that if we can get someone from CLSB.

I stopped by Cabela's off Indianapolis Blvd on my way home from camp today. Picked up some non toxic shot so I'm ready to go!

I haven't heard from anyone. lets give it couple more days. I am going to go ahead and commit to 3 people with the place. I actually talked to someone who went there and they got 4 ducks pronto in the morning couple weeks ago and plan to go back, so the place checks out.

I will not be able to commit until Sunday. If someone else steps up, then my loss, but I just wanted to reiterate my interest.
