AR Photos

I can't sleep, so I popped into the garage and took a couple photos of my ARs as they are at this moment.

After a little bit of sleep, and some practice, this is today's shot of the same rifle.

I had a couple questions from these pictures and the one you posted in the other thread...

1.) What kind of magazine is that clear orange one? I haven't seen that before but looks really cool.

2.) In the third picture, what kind of BAD lever is that? I've only seen the Magpul one before. I like the design on it with the holes taken out.

3.) Which grip is in the last picture of the first post?

Only SOT can have full auto in Illinois.

I'm pretty sure you know this already, but those features are unavailable to us civilians in Illinois.

#1 Microtech AR15 Magazine in Amber. I'm not sure I can recommend it as of yet, as it doesn't seat in my Seekins lower correctly, and it was a real bitch to load 28 rounds in for the photo. That said, it does look good. I posted a link about these for sale in another thread (Magazines in stock) at $33 each. IMHO, I would stock up on "standard capacity magazines" *now*, preferably PMAGs

#2 It's an "extended bolt release" from Phase 5 Tactical. I really like the products they manufacture; I highly recommend all their gear.

#3 Umbrella Corporation Weapons Research Group - They are a newer company that has recently started making lowers and grips. I have one of their limited edition lowers made by Mega Arms and it's quite a nice piece. IMHO, I don't care much for the grip. Being very straight up and down, you have to have large hands to easily reach the safety switch. I put this grip on for the photos, but I'm probably going to switch to a CAA ergo grip like my Yankee Hill Machine rifle has, or a spare MEGA Arms ergo grip I have in the parts bin. Rumor has it that Magpul designed this grip, and possibly manufactured it for UCWRG.

Note: All this was typed under the influence of my high quality Whiskey Old Fashioned cocktails. I can neither confirm nor deny the accuracy nor the grammar of such posts.

Is the umbrella one in the third picture or the fourth? I was asking about the last one.

SOLD! ummm, oh wait

So whatcha got going on with the optics in the first two pics? I was in Cabelas tonight buying a case for a rifle and was looking at optics, but wasn't sure what I was looking for.

That's some very nice looking gear you have.

Sorry, I missed that. The first 3 images are Umbrella Corp grip, the ergo one is from CAA. I just bought another CAA grip to replace the Umbrella Corp one.

Optics in the first images is just an EOTech with a Fenix flashlight on the front. In the last pic it's an EOTech with an inexpensive 6X magnifier on a flip-to-side mount. I'm not sure I like the 6X magnifier; it's made by Primary Arms, and their stuff is pretty good for the money, but I've got very sharp eyes and this just isn't sharp enough for me.
