Cool XDs is pretty freaking sweet

I know few members on here had already bought it. I finally found one in the surrounding area, got it for a pretty decent price ($610.54 OTD). Took it straight from the gun store to the shooting range. Put 100 TulAmmo 230 GR FMJ and 5 Hornady +P 230 GR XTP. Flawless operation, and surprising accuracy for such a tiny pistol!
This was the first 10 shots with the TulAmmo at 7 yards:

Here's the 5 Hornady's I shot in a quick succession at 7 yards:

I admit, I'm impressed. It fits my hand perfectly, and I still can't get over the fact how damn small it is Now I just need to find a good IWB holster for it... anyone has experience/opinions on one for that particular pistol?

Nice little pistol. Brianne wants one if Chicago doesn't cock/block CCW.

She'll love it. I forgot to mention, I was amazed how little felt recoil this thing has. I can't wait to put it thru some serious paces, but first I need to locate some damn ammo

I dig! After the Firespeed guys help me finish my AR, I've got a small pistol and another tactical pistol, to supplement my 92FS that doesn't have rails, on my list. Then I think I want to build a long range .308 rifle. An afternoon talking with Firebreatha kinda sparked my interest in this stuff again! Lol. I think next summer I may scale back on some of the triathlon racing and start doing some shooting again.

Don't have a CCW holster for it yet, so I can't tell you on that. The included holster is actually pretty nice for open carry in 3-4 o'clock position. Grips look like they would hurt, but they feel just right. I was at the range for maybe 15 minutes, basically shooting/reloading the mags non stop thru all 105 rounds and no pain in the wrist from recoil, or any bite from the grips.

I put the talon grip on mine and love that. I carry with a white hat iwb holster. It's a pretty comfortable carry gun.

Easy enough, buy any rifle, doesn't have to be anything special, buy ammo, spend lots of time at the range. I have a K98 Mauser, with Iranian surplus ammo and a Baskra scope (what CLSB would consider a POS) and taught Diane to hit a 14" x 14" steel at 600 yards in about 15 minutes. What you want to build is something pretty or cool or both. As in all things its the person not the tool Here endth the lesson

No worries Rick, you'll see me at some for sure. I just may not do so much long course next year. Spending too much time training for that right now. I'm already committed and paid for lots of racing this summer already. So I'm talking the following summer anyway

I use comptac with the 15 degree forward cant, I dont like IWB holsters less hassle and its easier to wear a long shirt or hoodie. also this holster still allows me to have the grip laser on there with out it being turned on or hitting anything

XDS is a 45ACP
Comes with two 5-round mags as in my picture.
THey make really nice 7-round mags for them too with the grip extension.

The talon grips are great. this is my first experience with them. Easy to install, seems like a great glue system that doesn't ruin the gun if you remove and doesn't peal off. I have the rubberized ones that offer great grip and is still comfortable. They are only $15.

This is now my daily conceal carry gun.

I know when I got my both xd subs the 9 and 40 I got 5 free mags for each gun from spring field for a total of 7 each gun was nice.

I hate the extended mag love the shorties with the pinky extension on it that just completes the feel of the gun

I think they scaled back on some stuff for the XDs becuase of the low price point. You can get them for $500. seems other XD guns come with a speed loader too which this doesn't. Not that big of a deal though.

The sights are nice, but i do wish it came with night sighs.

Are you referring to the xds, or the other pistols mentioned? The xds has steel dovetail rear sights and steel fiber optic front sight.

I thought I was going to pick up a G27 for a new carry weapon, but I really want to see this in person before I order the Glock. This looks to be a really sweet pistol, and the size seems perfect.

Hope you can get a chance to actually shoot it. I just qualified with it for CCH couple of days ago, and I was grinning from ear to ear.

Just got this in the mail today. I don't have white hat or crossbreed to compare it to, but I can't imagine it being any more comfortable or better fitting than this. For $40 shipped, and it only took about 10 days order to delivery. So far I'm a happy camper.
