Bat vs Gun in Chicago

Beting $100 that this shop owner will arm himself once he re-opens his shop.

http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/bes...bat-robber.cnn

Looks like he saved his own life, the gun was pointed towards the upper part of his body and he hit it with the bat it got deflected down and fired... amazing footage.

He has been robbed a few times prior to this. Was even shot at, during one incident.

The gun was pointed toward the ground the whole video. Hence he was shot in the ankle. This guy didn't deflect anything with his bat, he's no Chuck Norris.

I'm no subject matter expert but look at the video he never had the gun pointed up. It seem to me some " reporter" wanted to make the story a little more exciting. Yeah sure, he intentionally deflected the bullet with his bat.

Stupid criminal, why not just step back and fire away?

Further proof only criminals should have guns. If the shop owner had a gun, the criminal may have been hurt! Thank goodness he wasn't.

The way the gun laws are going in this country it is only a matter of time where this will become even more common throughout the entire country like it has become in heavily gun controled Chicago.

Moving his business to the burbs or Nebraska won't help much if things keep going the way they are.

Not yet. Still shopping for one. I tried Chicago since I live there and while shopping for it I got robbed at gun point. Looked a lot like they guy in the video but younger. I then went to NY and was shot at again. Of course that might have been just some random gunfire. Who knows for sure. Tried Washington DC and the same fucking thing happened. Wouldn't you know it. 3 of the cities with the most restrictive gun laws in place and the most violent crime with firearms. Go figure. I might try Mass next but I want to get my bulletproof vest before I go there since I'll be unarmed.

WTF did that rant have to do with the fact that aside from few communist states, rest of them aren't even close to restricting any gun laws? Might wanna travel little further
