Bristol Range

Its been years since Ive been there but they do have a 100 and 200 yard range.

Has anyone been there lately? $15 a day to shoot isnt bad either although its only open sat and sundays and some fridays.

Bristol is awesome!

You can check it out here --> Bristol Ranges

You can become a member for only $60 a year! (Or $150 for three years!)

I've been going there for about 15 years and have been a member for over 5. "Why become a member?" you ask. . . because it drops your daily range fee from $15 to ONLY $4! ! !

It's not as crazy/fun as Buffalo (single shot - no rapid fire - only paper, non human targets) but it is very safe and well organized. Just like going to the track, everyone there is an enthusiast and is more than happy to assist. Well worth a look!

you know i heard what i thought was a rumor

"loading any semi auto 1 shot and shooting 1 shot at a time"

but i guess you just comfirmed that.

guess i wont be going up there, i am not a rapid fire kinda guy but when i have to do the amount of firing i normally do and load it 1 round at a time? thats nuts.

dont take me wrong, i am not some rapid firing /full auto nut...i just think thats not worth my time to go there 200 yard range or not.

Shhhhhh . . .

Between you and me I shoot my 30/06, AR15 and .22 loaded with full magazines. Only once (about 6 years ago) did a range officer tell me it was single shot. I appologized and said it wouldn't happen again. You just need to leave a few rounds on your table (to give the "look" of single shot loading) and don't rapid fire, that's a total give away.

Like I said before, Buffalo is more fun with different targets and faster shoots but Bristol is a nice place. I'm a shotgun nut and love trap so that's why I'm usually there.

Still worth a day of shooting to give it a chance.
