Deer Hunters

Sheesh, 3 hunters just shot at two deer about 500 yards from my window. Crazy stuff. The deer passed between them and they must have shot basically in the same direction of each other. I heard two pops, looked out and saw the muzzle flash from the second hunter. I guess you have to trust your fellow hunter. The first two shots must have been in my general direction too. dang.

I hunt with rifle in N. WI. Much different with a shotgun, the distance is much less. Regardless, you have to trust who youre with.

Yeah, I guess it would be nice to be in the woods, getting away from work for awhile. My brother tried to get me to go but I didn't feel like it this year.

I prefer rifle too and normally shoot 300 yards at the outdoor range. When I hunt around here I use my T/C in 454 Cassul. Shot that the other night at the indoor range. That thing is a canon.

I don't like to go with anyone else. When I go with a rifle I like to have at least 80 acres all to myself. It sounds a bit excessive but I don't trust anybody else. If I go with someone else it's my Grandpa who is right next to me or a place where I know he is staying put. It keeps everything safe that way.

Ya can come out to Blackhawk state park near DOdgeville. 3500 acres and at the most 10-15 hunters.D

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
