A gun like that is crying out for pearl grips

Very nice. I love my Kimber, even though she's nowhere near as pretty as yours

To quote George S. Patton. " Only a New Orleans pimp would carry a gun with pearl handles." Ivory is what you need.

Love the engravings on the gun.

Thank you...LOL!

I was looking for that quote.

I really like what I see about the Kimber stuff.

Here's a neat story that I haven't shared yet...

I've been introducing my kids to guns so they understand safety, use, not using, etc. Need to learn and understand that respect. I came home with a Kimber catalog with their pistols and rifles. So, we look at that here and there.

A couple weeks later, we were at a book store, and the boys spied a book of 20th Century Combat Weapons. They had their money, so they bought it. Gives weights, range, magazine capacity.

My youngest likes to draw and stuff, so, one day, he decided to draw the "Rosno Mark I" pistol. Then he wanted to send it to Kimber for them to make it. My wife got their address off the internet, and the picture with range and stuff went out. He also wanted the ability to use a silencer. LOL!

About ten days later, maybe less, I mean, it was real quick, and a surprise, a box shows up immediately after Thanksgiving among the Christmas gifts from Kimber. Inside, Kimber had sent a adult small jacket, and a note saying that they loved the design, they felt they could increase the maximum effective range and they would work on making it able to use a silencer. The boys and I thought it was the coolest!

I think my wife was the one most taken aback by the whole thing since she's never been around guns or any real gun culture. Was very cool regardless. Makes me want a Kimber 1911 that much more.

+1 for Kimber!!!!

Nice story about them, I deal with them and they do care about the customers. However they care about money too (a little too much) if you look at their prices. Nice that they acknowledged the kids though.

Hey, a business has to care about profit. I want them around tomorrow if I need to buy, fix, or rebuild.
