congrats!! very good ergonomics in a sig.

Sig 229 in 357 SIG was my first pistol. Great stuff!

Unfortunately I had to sell mine during the Dot Com bust when I was jobless for 7+ months.

I've been meaning to get another 357 SIG based pistol. Or maybe a nice barrel for my .40 xD.

Tell us what you think of your SIG when you finally get to take it out!

Sadly, my little brother almost smacked himself in the head with my HS2000 9mm. He wasn't expecting the 9mm to pack such a punch...granted, I may have loaded a +P clip in it, but still.

I guess it doesn't help that he weighs in at about 98lbs.

Kelly did a great job of controlling the recoil, her stance needed some work though. That .454 Casull round really has some kick, here's a round size comparison with the pistol:

9mm - 10mm Auto - .454 Casull

You know you can just swap the barrel and mag to convert between the 357SIG and .40S&W right? Another great feature of this gun, I'll probably pickup the barrel and mag in a couple of months, it's nice to have the option.

As far as comfort, yes this gun is far superior to all the others i tried, it just felt "right". I was originally looking for a 9mm, but after shooting this one i pretty much fell in love, and the price was right so the deal was done.

Yeah, a 357 SIG is a "necked down" .40S&W. I think I may have had two barrels for my 229, but that was nearly 10 years ago...I'm very forgetful.

You have to swap the mags too?

on a glock the mags are the same. Just need a conversion barrel and extractor.

Aye .40S&W casing necked down to a 9mm bullet. Great round, fantastic ballistics but expensive to shoot.

It's kind of stupid that the 10mm Auto and .357Sig are nearly dead rounds given how well they outperform their cousins.

You're right you don't even have to swap the mags, they're the same part number, just swap the barrel.

yeah, I misstated, you don't even need a new extractor. Thats for the .45 ACP to 10mm conversion
I was thinking of that because I've been meaning to swap my G21 over to 10mm once I get a place where I can set up my reloading equipment. Commercial 10mm is lame. Either DoubleTap or make your own.

I have some left over Norma that is pretty solid in terms of numbers. DoubleTap is what she eats when sitting on my nightstand.

Thats the hot shit

Wouldn't mind having it, but then again I'm of the opinion that nine is just fine. Mozambique/Failure to stop Drills FTW. My USP9 usually has nightstand duty.
