Trip to Camp Atterbury

First, this is a really, really nice range. Pistol and rifle up to 100yds. $15 for 2 hours.

This was the first time I got my RRA Entry Tactical out in 3 years for any real shooting. Pathetic, I know. The batteries on my EOTech were dead, so I had to use my BUIS. Not a big deal, since iron sights are all I've ever used on an AR

I've come to the realization that I really need to practice with this thing more. The last time I did any real shooting with an AR was back in 2001.....so I was a bit rusty.
100yrs, from a bench, (no bipod or rest) using a hasty sling.

Also did some pistol shooting. I got the fiance started with the USP9, and then the Kimber. She liked the Kimber more and did better with it, which was pretty surprising. She's a southpaw, so eventually I'll have to get an ambi setup for one of the two.

A buddy of mine brought his clone Accuracy International AWM in 300 Mag. I was able to put a few rounds through it. Holy crap I want one.

I wouldnt call it southern, more like central. It was closed for a time to active duty but has remained a reserve station for quite some time. In '02 i believe they kicked up use for reserve units deploying to iraq. Reopened the whole place. I was there to deployed back in '04.(the little bar on post has some awsome chicken wings.) It is only about an hour south of Indy.

I know, ain't it a great rifle?

Tight as hell, though. I've got to use a brass punch on the takedown pins.
Never had to use anything but my finger on any of the service rifles I had.
