1911 Teardown questions

So I have decided to keep my Delta Elite as of late and was hoping to polish the Trigger and the Hammer as both have begun to have the blueing fade. Was wondering if anyone on the board has the know how and tools to break her down for me. I would pay you for your time or any other costs and would only need a week total turn around time (you break it down, I polish trigger/hammer, return parts to you, you reassemble). Let me know if anyone is willing to tackle this. Thanks!

I haven't done so myself, but do have several 1911 tuning and armorer videos, which I'd be happy to give you copies of. Those would set you well on yoru way to being able to do it all yourself.

i can do it for you while you wait, hit me up.

no, i wont alter the trigger weight, no i wont trim or re angle your sear.

i will simply polish the correct parts that will make your current stock 1911 pistol butter smooth!

you will feel a differance.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I took her all the way down to just the frame, everything take apart and cleaned today, felt awesome to understand how this piece works from stem to stern. Much obliged!

This is pretty sweet too and worth a look!

Post #4 of above shows a DIY trigger job. I’d recommend taking it to a pro-gunsmith, but to each his own. Ody made an offer earlier, I'd graciously accept it.

After I cracked the frame on my Desert Eagle, I stripped it to the frame so I could send it to a specialist to get re-welded...it's been sitting in a box-o-parts for 10 years!

I really doubt I'll remember how to put it back together.
