Just stopped over and looked at the SCAR for the first time. Very nice rifle. They are asking $3300. A little steep IMHO.

No, wait, Megasports and steep pricing?

I heard about this last month. I was excited and I'm like, Great! Are they going to have a rep there with FN's to try out?

No.

Are they going to have discounts on all FN's that day!?

No.

But you can buy this SCAR for $3300. They are really hard to come by.

Um, yeah...

Yeah, I didn't want to get into it with those guys. They were acting like they were doing a favor with that price. I didn't want to burst their bubble and tell 'em I could get them for 2600 all day long.

But hey at least I got to fondle one. Couldn't believe how light it was and how solid and precise the action felt.

Megasports blows. I used to suggest them to friends due to their great selection, but they have become the Harley dealer of gun shops. Got too big and and have no idea how to sell, instead they just take an order. There may be an exception there, but have not seen it lately. Have purchased a decent number of guns from them over the years and most likely will not again...unless they have something used at a good $$ that I just have to add to the safe. Not likely.
Took my twelve year old in there not long ago to size up some .22 rifles and they treated him like he was wasting their time. Please. This is the kind of customer they should want to create and keep. He can print 10 rnds of .17 on a quarter at 25 yds with iron sights, so he kind of knows what he is doing as well.

Sorry for the rant...

I'm getting the same feeling. I went in there looking to purchase my Ruger 10/22 for my build up. I knew what I wanted, knew what it was worth, and went in there ready to buy. They gave me the "well let me ask the boss". I felt like I was at a car dealership. He came back 5 minutes later smelling of a fresh smoke and said "no, it's priced as marked...and now that you pointed out to him this has been on the shelf for so long (and isn't one of the new plastic/painted Rugers), he may just have to raise the price"!!

That said, you can find a couple good deals there...but only because their shit has been on the shelves for so long, their overpricing of 5-7 years ago is now a percent or two below todays average pricing....

Sad really.

If anyone is interested in a SCAR this is the best price I have found so far:

http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/se...gi?read=221302

They had two left.

EDIT: They are both gone. I got mine 12 minutes after they posted the ad. lol. $2650 shipped.
