I'm still not sure about this one. My AW50 isnt going anywhere and for the money I could buy me a Barrett since I did give all of them up for teh AI. The only thing I REALY like about this package is the suppresor. Not that I cant just buy the suppressor for my AI, but the rifle itself is pretty cool.

cant beat the package price on it either. Tuff decision

Sorry dude, but fuck that thing.

I think two .50 BMG rifles is overkill but that's beside the point. If you're going to drop $10k on a rifle, especially one in that caliber, it damn well better say Barrett M82 somewhere on it. The only exception to that rule would be a WS2000...

I would have to concur, Barrett is the best choice. This is a sweet rifle, and seeing as how you own a AI already, this would just another "other" .50 to you.

The Barrett rifles, although decent, don't compare in fit, finish or quality. The only upside is that it's a semi. With that said YA, I'll be getting an 82 again. I don't have buyers remorse about selling my old one, but know I'll get another. I rather have accuracy right now vs. volume.

That's what I figgered. I heard about you Puerto Ricans and how you people make money. I wont say nuttin if you let me in on the action.

BTW, the 50 cal is overkill don't you think? All you really need is a 9mm to scare a motherfucker into handing over his ride mang.

WA2k is what I meant, thank you for the correction... I've wanted an FS2000 for a while, that must have slipped in there somehow.

As far as accuracy, I follow you, but is this going to be more accurate than the AI .50? If so, are you planning on selling the AI? If not, I don't see the allure in the piece. It'd be one thing if it were a great price and you had the ability to sell it easily for more than you paid, but in this market, once that thing is yours, it's yours for a while. As you know, a lot of people have $200-600 to blow on guns, once you crest the $1-2k mark though, the market drops off precipitously. Anyway, that's my take, having a few extra AR/AK/Pistols/etc. are not a bad idea in case one goes down after SHTF, but are you really going to be slinging enough .50BMG to necessitate a $10k backup rifle?

Tell you what Brian.... you've come a long way!

I have to agree with you on several of your points.

1) No, I dont this thing would out shoot the AI. If it did I wouldnt of bought the AI, I would of bought a McMillan.

2) It's funny just talking about having a $10K back up rifle to a $17K rifle! ( Rifle + Scope + acc = $17K)

3) Your right about the allure..... what is it? The price, no... at $10K this is a decent deal at best. Some would even say list price.

4) I dont think you can sling enough .50bmg.... and if thats the case I could sling alot more with an $8K Barrett.

5) Your right about markets. anything above $1k is tuff how bout $10K AND an NFA item at that, though I'd keep the can for the AI.

I think my big draw to this was teh can and that the package does include just about everything you need minus the scope and ammo. At $10K this is no steal.

Just more food for my though but you bring up VERY good points.

Arrogance has to be earned.
