The best strategy to weigh the lightest in the PM?

Some friends and I are concluding a "biggest loser" contest this upcoming Monday in the afternoon (around 6pm or so). What's the best way to put up the smallest number possible? Starving myself all day? Eating a few small meals to give myself the energy to have a super intense workout and sweat out some extra poundage? I'm not looking for what's healthy, I just wanna figure out the best way to keep off a couple extra lbs so I can put $250 in my pocket.

I would eat tiny tiny as meals every few hours. 2 days before drink a crap load of water then the last day have NOTHING. Go workout and sweat in a sauna then weigh in.

For BJJ I could 5lbs easily in 1 day. Some guys easily cut 10 in a few days...just depends how bad you want to do it and how much you can mentally/physically take.

eat normal breakfast and lunch!!! (given your normal is now high protein) Workout for 2 hours combo of weights and cardio. Eat a protein bar for dinner after workout. Hit the Sauna for 15-20 minutes. Then go weigh in.

if we are throwing health out the window, i can tell you what we used to do to make weight in wrestling back in the 90s

1. Running/biking in the steam room or a hot room (90+) wearing a 'sauna suit' or hefty bag
2. Laxatives
3. Alternate between sauna/steamroom/whirlpool at the health club sitting in each til you can't stand it.
4. Chew gum/tobacco spit out juices <-- not really sure about this, but we did it

Short term weight loss is all about water and this is how to get it out of your system.

I wouldn't eat or drink anything that evening or the day of, mostly because I *had* to make the weight

this is also the reason i am 5'5" now

I forgot about #4. I'm not sure what if anything that does, but yea if you are going for extreme weight loss in a short time it's mostly water and poop!

I walk around at 165ish and have easily cut to 148 for tournaments.

are you suggesting to eat for obvious health reasons or for helping with some last minute weight loss? i know it sounds bad, but i'd be willing to skimp on food for the last day to gain any advantages.

was wondering if laxatives would help. might as well pull out all the stops, huh? haha

i've worked pretty hard to get my weight down fair and square. a few extra lbs wouldn't hurt my chances though.

another thing... what type of sleep pattern might help shed a few extra pounds? i was thinking that if i got some work done on the weekend, i can sleep in on monday - as late as noon or so. would a few extra hours help? i figure that the worst case scenario is that it makes the day of limited or no food much shorter/easier.

Jordan.

I took this from my gym's forum...

"

1. STOP EATING ALL CARBS I AM TALKING GRAINS AND FRUIT.. VEGGIES ARE OK
2. LOAD UP ON WATER TODAY 2 GALLONS AT LEAST
3. TOMORROW CUT ALL SALT AND JUST EAT PROTEIN ONLY DRINK 1 TO 1.5 GALLONS WATER
4. FRIDAY 1 GALLON OF WATER AT THE MOST NO SALT AND TRY TO GET THAT GALLON IN BEFORE 5 OR SO

YOU SHOULD WAKE UP SATURDAY MORNING LIGHTER. THE DROP IN CARBS ALONE SHOULD GIVE YOU SOME WATER LOSS. 1 GRAM OF CARBS HOLDS 4OZ OF WATER. YOU NEED TO STAY ACTIVE AND SWEAT OFF SOME WEIGHT ALSO. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS POST OR TEXT ME.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON FRIDAY WEIGH INS YOU CAN DO IT A LITTLE DIFFERENT

------------

I AGREE WITH 1-3 AND PART OF 4. SOME OF THIS DEPENDS ON THE PERSON AND HOW TOUGH AND MANLY YOU ARE. ALSO NICK CIMM IS A GOOD PERSON TO ASK ABOUT THIS, ALSO WRESTLER MIKE PROBABLY.

6 LBZ IS NOT TOO BAD BUT IT IS NO WALK IN THE PARK EITHER. WEIGH YOURSELF TONIGHT TO SEE HOW INTENSE YOULL HAVE TO BE TOMORROW.

IN THE PAST BEFORE I BECAME A PIECE OF SHIT I USED TO CUT QUITE A BIT OF WEIGHT, AND HERE'S WHAT ID DO. BASICALLY WHAT SAM SAID FOR 1-3. DAY BEFORE I WOULD DRINK NO WATER AFTER NOON. I WOULD EAT SMALL BREAKFAST - GO WITH VEGETABLES OR SOMETHING - BUT THAT'S IT. IN EVENING I WOULD DO SOME SORT OF CARDIO AND SWEAT OFF ALL THE WEIGHT. TRY TO GET WITHIN A POUND OF TARGET WEIGHT. BY THIS POINT YOU WILL BE A BIT LOW ON ENERGY. WHAT I WOULD DO: LICK PEANUT BUTTER. GET A TEASPOON, 1 SCOOP PEANUT BUTTER, THEN LICK LIKE POPSICLE. IT WILL KILL HUNGER. AT THAT POINT, SINCE YOUVE GOTTEN RID OF MOST OF THE WATER, YOULL ONLY HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE ACTUAL WEIGHT OF THE FOOD. I WOULD THEN DRINK ABOUT 4-6 OZ OF WATER TO HELP ME GO TO SLEEP. USUALLY I WOULD DRIFT ABOUT 1-1.5 LBZ OVER NIGHT, BUT ONE TIME I DIDN'T DRIFT AN OUNCE, WHICH WAS HORRIBLE AS I HAD TO GET UP AT 530 AM AND RUN LIKE 2 MILES. IF YOU ARE STILL HALF A POUND OR SO OVER IN THE MORNING, SPLIT INTO AN EMPTY BOTTLE. CYRIL USES JOLLY RANCHERS, WHICH APPARENTLY MAKE YOU SALIVATE. DO NOT SPIT INTO A TOWEL; THAT IS DISGUSTING.

THE MOST IVE EVER CUT IN ONE DAY USING THIS METHOD IS 11 POUNDS, WHICH I DID TWICE. YOU COULD PROBABLY DO MUCH MORE, TOO. "

Also on the poop thing...there are a few guys that load up on fiber stuff like Metamucil to clear their systems out. Might be good for a pound or so LOL

I've never done it because I didn't want to have emergency explosive poops.

For $250 I'd at least try to win that sucker too!! That's almost 2 trackdays or a set of tires!

it's pretty easy to cut several pounds in water weight assuming you're fairly well hydrated to begin with.

Protein, lots of synthetic powder protein with ingredients that you do not know of the origin. And eat out at restaurants, every meal, they cook with the highest quality of butter and oils your body will do great with my suggestions. I would even consider going on a protein diet, where you eat shitloads of protein all the time, cause your body really needs it. Like all the time. And bro, you gotta wear gold chains. And spike your hair.
