Nice hike thru the mountains this weekend

I haven't done a lot of hiking in the past, maybe only a handful of times, but I went out yesterday and loved it. Did 9 miles through the santa cruz mountains. There was about 1000 feet of elevation change. Burned about 2,600 calories (according to my heart rate monitor) in 3.5 hours.

It was really a lot of fun. The weather was perfect, there are no bugs out here, and the scenery was beautiful.

This place was about 15 miles from my office. It was free. Thats my brother and his GF in the pictures with me.

Hiking is fun, I'm enjoying it in the Texas Hill Country as much as I can.

Make sure you hit Hamilton Pool this summer. Weekdays are best.
