I understand this is the inter-webs...
But I am no expert.

I am treating these next two weeks as taper weeks, the 2nd week being way more relaxed.
Could you use a taper week to recover?
I really do not know. It would be a guess, that you can't.
Either way, I don't think it is a good idea.

A two hour tri is still like tapering for me. Fugg it, I'm doing it. At least then I'll have another excuse why I could only bust out 10 minute miles.

I'm going to have to pass. If I go to hard on this and cramp up it'll take me more than a week to recover from that. I'm already signed up for an oly the following week.

Yes you have to do one. Are you swimming with us on Saturday? You could have done the last one, you could stand the entire way during the swim.

Tore it up today. Felt good, but I'm not sure what my pace was in the run yet, because it wasn't listed on the results. Run still sucked, wanted to quit at mile 1, and had to do some mental soul searching to finish without walking. Good swim, 30th overall in that, good bike, I think 14th or something taking it easy too. I only averaged 23 and a half MPH in the bike hoping that would help my run. We'll see, but I doubt it. Still got 2nd in age group and 18th overall.

Nice work Ken, I would have trade you as I didn't landscaping work. Funny thing, I'm married to a beaner and still did most of the work.
