Negative. Gotta rest for the weekend. Plus the fact it is 178 degrees out with 122% humidity might chase some people away. If it was 70 and zero humidity nobody would run it anyways.

what is the difference between an Olympic tri and a half ironman? I'm going to assume that both have swimming, running, and cycling. Is it just a difference in distance?

Yeppers. The HIM is 1.2 mile swim, 60 mile bike ride, and 13.1 mile run. Olympic tri is .9 mile swim, 25 mile bike, and 6 mile run.

Depends. The HIM, yes I would recommend it, preferably a TT bike, but a road bike will work too. That is what I will be on, they just have more of an aerodynamic disadvantage compared to TT bikes. Some strokes do bring mountain bikes out there, but they are just looking to finish and don't care what time they do it in, and their results always show that.

Oh it all is Humberto, very serious. Triathlon is the fastest growing sport right now. And it's all about money just like everything else is. Each race is $50-$100 each, and the Ironmans are more than double that.

No clue. I'm sure there is at the top level, but I doubt it is worth going just for that. It's all about PAYING money, not making it, just like track days.

Hmmm. That is exactly what I need, a running coach. Maybe he'll trade running lessons for racing lessons. We can each just scream at each other "fucking pin it!!!" "no you fucking pin it!!!"
