I'm sure I'll be the only one doing this, but anyone interested? Last one of these around this area for the year.

Not sure how I did, but my buddy is pretty sure I got 10th overall. My swim sucked, not sure why, but everybody lined up across the line for a dragrace to the first buoy and I got killed. I have to work on that situation for sure. Bike was OK, 5th overall, and it was a course not suited to my bike, and pretty muddy too, so I guess I'm happy with that. Run seemed better timewise, even though my HR was through the roof. Probably my fastest run yet, and I actually passed a person out there and left him behind. Poor sucker.

They probably combined this with the special olympics or something.

I don't think there were too many people at this one, I'm guessing less than 100. I'm anxious to see my run time, I think it was pretty good, which is what I'm concentrating on lately. My swim definitely sucked and my bike I thought sucked too. 5th overall in the bike doesn't sound too bad, but I really should be doing better than that, as that is my strong point.

nice work man. next year i'd definately like to try one of these. my swim saturday was much better and the run is coming along. Although running is a lot easier with fresh legs, I rode at saw wee kee this morning for 2hrs then ran at 2pm for an hour and it was much easier than usual.

This one was brand new to the xterra series. That's probably why there weren't many people there. I have this one on the list for next year. I had 3 races to choose from this weekend! I wanted to do all of them! Lol.

Nice job Ken! Congrats on the run!

I would recommend a tetanus shot for next year. The water was pretty interesting, and looked like some kind of overflow for rain water. It was only about 50 feet wide, and there was some kind of crap floating in the water, not to mention the waterlogged deadwood about a couple feet down. I only hit a few of them though.
