The kid and I went for a run...

I put my Garmin 110 on her to see her stats. I think she might be faster than I am, but that's not that hard. After her triathlon this weekend we are gonna try some longer runs and see how she does. I think I got a running buddy now. Her max heartrate just on this run was 214!

This is only a general guide line.
CP and his Daughter, are proof that it is inaccurate.

The only true way to know your max, is to be tested.
In this case, I doubt CP's daughter even reached her "Max".
She was only running for 5 minutes.

I was curious about that. Not sure if that's normal for a kid or somewhat high. She was talking the whole time too. I'm gonna take her out again on Tuesday and see if I can make her heart explode.

Garmin 110 GPS watch. Tracks speed, pace, HR, mileage. I got it for running, and it has helped quite a bit to keep me at a solid pace for triathlons. I'd like to wear it for the hare scrambles, but I'm sure I would destroy it somehow.

Funny is that she only burned 94 cals, I would have burned twice that just thinking about running.

Lol. 214 is probably normal for her age. But someone keeps forgetting to tell you guys that this is about putting out more power/effort at lower bpm's!!!! Not how high you can get your hr!!! Lol

Did a li'l road ride with the kid on Monday. One of my usual loops around the hood. She loved it. 36 miles and she did great on the steep stuff too. Hopefully we will do a lot more of these together.

Seriously, it's so great the two of you enjoy something together. Rep sent.

yeah, nobody knows unless you try to max out. CP has a pretty high HR, but his daughter pretty inline for a kid.

I'm 36 and have pulled 217 on an interval run! That's proof the 220 minus your age is just a guideline.

Ken, that's awesome dude! she's going to be hangin' in there on group rides in no time!!
